Hi Joannasmum - if hubby is non to pleased - ask him politely just to offer helping hand with DD when he gets in so you can carry on with the chores - dont over do it and look after yourself, in time things will be easier. Do not panic. Im sure all of us mum's with 1 or more child/dren to look after have these days (i no I do) we cant be perfect all the time. Chin up gal!!!

    Hi Joannasmum
Is your daughter teething...they have the big ones come through when they're two or so. I got caught out completely by that one as there'd been such a big gap since the last lot came through. Just a thought!

  • Congratulations to rchddap1 on the birth of Lily Marie!

Hoping you are all well (it bothered XDH that no-one asked how HE was) and adapting to the new arrival.

Joannasmum my sister has exactly the same problem (times 2). Her DD and DS will not let her go anywhere or do anything without them. She is struggling too. I know this isn't any help but at least you know you are not alone. ((((hugs))))

Sooooooo glad its Friday. I have a nice bottle of wine chilling in the fridge and a curry takeaway (:shhh: ). Also have a Marian Keyes book lined up too so my night is sorted. :D

This has happened to us before and we walked out too. Last time was in a small local shop where we were waiting at the till to buy some ice-creams while at least 3 members of staff were wandering round the shop!one was hoovering the shop and just ignored us. We left them on the counter and walked out:D

  • hi all,

been mega productive today. we didn't get everything done yesterday -OH had a migrane and i got sidetracked on here lol!

anyway we made up for it today - loft has been partially floored and OH & I decluttered everywhere except the spare room. we put stuff up the loft until we get time to build another shed. we plan to build a large shed at the end of the garden and make a gym in it - but the weather is so awful here at the moment. cleaned living room, boys room and kitchen, then hoovered the whole house - our new hoover is fab, very impressed, from aldi. we are both knackered now.

    diet going well.

i wanted to pass on this tip. i bought some of those tin containers from poundland, like you get from the chinese takeaways to help with portion control in bulk cooking. the great thing is it's like having your own takeaway in the freezer for those can't be bothered nights. so far we have 3 portions od lasagne and 3 portions of curry.

    congrats rchddap1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hugs to all!

congrats to rchddap on the birth of your daughter!!!

today is mad panic day, or cleaning-day.. parents are visiting tomorrow! normally OH helps me with all this but he's not feeling too well so i have to make the rounds myself. So far (5.30pm) i've put towels in the wash, done OH and me breakfast, tidied up various boxes and stacks of sewing projects and christmas pressie projects in progress so all is neat and tidy and gone to aldi to get eggs and a couple other things, walked the dog and had a cup of tea! (and i've only been going since 2pm...)

still to do: dinner (pasta keth - anyone wants the recipe, yell), washing up, wipe down tops and cooker, clean kitchen floor, clean bath, sink, tiles, loo, bathroom floor, dust and polish everywhere, hoover, iron clothes for tomorrow, then collapse. lol.

anyway, gonna get on with it...

hope everyone has a good evening!

Welcome to the world Lily Marie (what a lovely name)

I like the names Lily and Ruby and hubby likes Isla but with White as a surname there is no chance :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Great choice of name! I still have ambitions for my dd (yep another Isla)to marry a Mr White or even a Mr Mann! :rotfl:

Congratulations to Rchddap on Lily Maries birth! :T

Queenie - Well done! Nice to hear of someone getting such a good result from Mr T :T

Short post today as have spent lots of energy on a visit to dentist and a shopping trip but have used my pigsback vouchers on Benefit make up sets at Boots so girlies in the family will be happy.

    ((((Hugs)))

    Evening everyone

Congratulations Rchdpp and OH on the birth of Lily Marie - such a beautiful name and I can't wait to see pictures. Hope you're up and about again soon!

:grouphug: to all those in need,

Birthday wishes to the Little Miss Old-Stylers :bdaycake:

weird day here today - I should have been in uni this morning, then catching up on essays this afternoon, but I woke with a nasty headache and then when I was in the shower OH came running in saying he'd hurt his ear with a cotton bud and that he needed to go to A&E  So I quickly got dressed whilst he phoned NHS Direct who said that he did indeed need to go to A&E so that's where we spent the morning!! Apparently he has perforated his eardrum, and they reckon that the bud went almost halfway in  Don't know exact damage yet as the bleeding has clotted in front so can't get a proper view, but will know on Wed when he goes back for an ENT appt.

When we got home I went to bed for a "quick nap" and woke up at 4.30  So have got nothing done again :( W*** tomorrow afternoon so may try and get a few bits done in the morning, but we also require a trip to Mr T's as there are a few things we're running out of. Also need to do a finance check to work out exactly what I have going out over the next few months (until the end of Jan really) as I'm worrying about how I'm going to cope on basic salary wages in December/January - although I spoke to my manager today and we're on top level commission with a week to go until the end of the period so if we stay there I'll be due around £200 again which would help massively!!!! Off to see my parents tomorrow night - OH is going to sort their wireless and I'm going to coo over my mums new kitchen :D

Anyway, sorry for such a ramble :)

ps. I found out last night that my Xmas present from MIL is going to be a slow cooker :D I am possibly more excited about this that a 20YO should be :rotfl: :T

Many congratulations to rchddap and Lily Marie! :j :j :j Another little moneysaver on the scene :D

 Thanks so much to all those people who have been so kind  I feel so much better having made a decision and seeing an end in sight - at last!

The children really surprised me today. It was a "wear something red" day for Children In Need and they also had the chance to buy their own "Pudsey" that they had made. I did a grand "count up" to see how much the class had raised. It came to £9.50  One girl (not very well off) said "I've got this extra £1 that you can have". Then some of the other children with spare money brought up their change and we got to £13.30  . That really touched me. It brought a little tear to my eye!

I spent most of the art lesson at school "rescuing" bits of "The Sun". We've been doing papier mache and some of the children have brought in spare newspapers from home. My contribution was the Telegraph and Sunday Times . Anyway, it had completely slipped my mind that page 3 in The Sun is not really suitable for a class of young children. I soon realised after one of the "sensible" children in my class brought a paper over to me and said that there's "something rude" in here. One boy sneaked a look and was so horrified that he handed his copy over that he'd been "protecting". Luckily all "page 3s" had been removed within a minute :rotfl:

I've just had my Avon delivery. :j :j It's so exciting as I get a new catalogue too. Is it just me, or does anyone else love looking through catalogues (not necessarily buying)?:D

Popped into the library this evening as I haven't been in ages (no time). I got a fab looking low fat recipe book, which has some yummy things in. I'll have time to plan properly in a couple of weeks time. :j

DH is popping in to see a friend's new house. They've just moved in today, so I imagine the last thing that they REALLY want is DH having a snoop round. :D Supper will be when he gets back in - I've got a couple of chicken breasts defrosted (yellow stickered :D), so I think it's going to be a curry with the sauce being out of a jar
