    Good morning everyone,

Pink - i know exactly how you feel, DS has had a few 'tackles' whilst playing footie and its taken all my will power not to run on, and let the coach do it (with the squirty bottle of magic water!!!)

Joannasmum - dont worry too much about coping with 2, i had those worries when pregnant with DD (and there was only 18 months between mine) and worried about how i would cope, could i love another like i loved DS, and once the second one arrives, you wonder what you were worried about!!!! Hope you will be feeling better soon (and Valentine xx)

Well, we have no football today, it was the last league match last week until Feb, and although their coach arranges friendlies, we dont have one today (they start next week). Was going to have a long lie-in, but ive agreed to look after my friends hildren today (and her partners) whilst they move house, so i now have 5 children here!!!!! They are all being good at the mo, the boys watching WWE smackdown, and the girls playing polly pocket!!!
Right, really need to do something, the good thing about being friends children (and the youngest being 7) means i am still in my pjs, and they should behave whilst im in the shower in a minute. I then need to get the WM on, BM is already going (need the extra bread for lunch) and then i need to give the house a bit of a clean. ant do it tomorrow, DS is going to a party, and DD and i are going to take a trip to Trago Mills!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, (((HUGS))) to all those feeling poorly
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning everybody :hello:

ageandjo - that's fab that you're moving at last! :j :j :j :j - hope your OH is OK though ((hugs))

    Penny-Pincher!! you have a PM ;)

((hugs)) to anybody who needs them, and good luck with birthday parties!

Well I have a busy day ahead; one of my friends conducts Luton Choral Society (this is the same friend who conducts Thurrock Choral Society btw) and they are doing "Elijah" today up in Luton; there are four main soloists in Elijah (two female and two male) but on top of that there are two movements where three or four solo female voices are needed, so I am off to Luton to be a "spare soloist" and to sing in the choir :D Bit nervous about it TBH, even though I've sung it a couple of times before, because the MAIN soloists I'll be singing with are all quite major professional singers who work for Welsh National Opera and stuff like that

So I've got to go and hop in the shower, see you all later...

    Rzl xx

  • Hi everyone.

I had a better day yesterday and took advantage of it by returning a babysitting favour for a friend who's helped out several times since I've been pregnant. We went to an indoor play area and had a good time. I also managed to do a bit of cooking and sweeping up so it was good to feel on top of things.

Mum coming round today so we're going to take the opportunity to do some more decluttering in the attic. It's still half full of things we have to find homes for to make it into a bedroom...long job ahead!

    Hugs to all. x
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Sunny here now but freezing, ice on the car this morning, TD will be on in a while (if I can find it amoungst the boxes)

Rzl, how exiting! I sang, chorus, obviously, :D last Easter. Which part are you singing - I see you as the boy looking for the raincouds! More importntly, what will you wear? Great opportunity for a big frock and hairdo.

    Best of luck, and enjoy!

  • Sorry to disillusion you PenPen :D but no big frock as for most of it I'll just be singing in the choir so it's boring black & white  - the only solo parts I'm doing are in some of the sections that are down for solo ensemble or semichorus - am singing the middle part of the SSA trio for "Lift thine eyes" and one of the solo alto parts in "Holy, holy" (which is for SSAA quartet and SATB chorus).

  • Hello everyone,

I was really pleased last night when I toddled off to bed at 8pm (I couldn't keep my eyes open), I read some of my pregnancy book and nodded off with the pusscat. However, then OH came noisily to bed at 1.30am  (he'd been watching This Life, which we were both obsessed with when we were teenagers), speaking to the cat and generally banging around. That was me wide awake until gone 4am! I came on here and read the start of the thread but felt too spaced to write anything coherent! Oh well, I can't be too mad with him as he made a lovely tuna pasta bake last night and looked after me.

I have lots of O/S going on today, to make up for my continued laziness. We are doing a full house tidy, including all those random piles of stuff that just seem to appear; AND a full house clean. I'll be astonished if we get through it all (our house is like a bombsite at the moment) but hopefully we will. I'd love a relaxing Sunday doing a couple of smaller jobs, a local walk and a film so hopefully we'll get there today.

According to my notes, my pregnancy puts me at 6 weeks today - whoopee! Everyday, I feel a little bit stronger. Joannasmum - have you had your dating scan yet to see exactly how far along you are?

PP - I really hope you and your OH feel better soon. I know you were probably looking forward to your friends' coming round, but maybe it'd be best to put them off until you are both feeling a bit better.

ageandjo - Congratulations on the confirmed move! You must be delighted!

Gingham Ribbon - So glad you are feeling a bit better.

HUGS to everyone else. I hope all the footie and parties go well today.

I'd better get moving - OH is still sleeping (unsurprisingly - he's a sleep monster) so I might make (no oil) fried egg rolls for us to set us on our way.

    Lots of love

    Valentine xxx

    Goodmorning all,

Just chilling out with a glass or two of red and it's gone to my head. :D Apologies if I"m a bit giggly. Been very productive today. Took the dogs to get cut but she didn't get one finished so is coming to me tomorrow arv. The reason she didn't get it all done was she showed me her [STRIKE]mansion[/STRIKE] house and I had a good nosy around. ;) The view from her lounge was brilliant. Overlooks the bay. She asked me could if I could see the water from our house. :rotfl:I told her if you stood on the roof with a strong pair of binoculars you might. :D I expect I'll give her the grand tour tomorrow. ;) She's lovely. Comes from Canada.

Visited with DGS while they were getting trimmed who was Mr Cranky Pants. This afternoon worked on the house then came home and chopped up tomato & onions for my relish tomorrow and put on some pumpkin relish as well. Didn't go to Mass tonight. The time just ran away from me. Will go next week.

GR Great to hear you are feeling a bit better.

Snowy The first time we saw snow was after we had seen Blair Castle. We were in the big room having a coffee when I looked up and saw snow. We both ran outside and frolicked around like children. DH taking photo's as well. :jYou have no idea how amazing it is to experience snow when you've never seen it before.

Well my glass is empty now so off for a refill. :D Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Wow I go awol for a couple of days and it all starts happening!!

Congratulations to family rchddap on the arrival of Lily Marie!! 36_1_66.gif

23_30_117.gifKazonline!! Really missed you, and tbh worried about you too!! Glad college is going so well.

Pink I think your son looks just what he is, a lovely little boy. He's gorgeous, don't let that incompetent anywhere near him!!

Ageandjo so pleased to hear the move WILL be happening. It must be a huge relief, now just need for DH to get his health sorted. Thinking of you (((hugs)))

Penny-Pincher!! Hope DH is feeling better soon. Such a worry for you both, and worrying only makes things worse. Just be prepared to let your high standards slip a bit, you can't do too much or you'll get even worse! ((hugs))

Well it's a lovely sunny day here so I'm hoping to get some washing dry outside. Have loads of housework to catch up on, so will have my coffee then try to get some started while I do my 'phone call to Dad!! (what will we talk about for One hour, at least!!) Actually he's quite happy to talk and all I have to do is put in the very occassional comment, as long as I totally agree! Just need to find enough "one-handed" jobs.

DIL is now one week late with DGS2!! She's VERY fed-up. People keep asking her if she's still here, not had it yet? Given she's the size of a house, I think she does well to smile sweetly and reply graciously!!:D While I'd prefer the call to go look after DGS1 to be in the daytime, I now go to bed hoping to be woken up!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Well must get on, hope you enjoy your weekends ( sorry to those who have to work!)

    CMxx
