Amazon prime delivery method has yours changed recently ?

Ive got Amazon Prime for about 2-3 years now and it promises one day delivery

All my deliveries either came by Royal Mail Special Delivery or City link on next day services

However the last 4 orders have been send 1st Class Royal Mail

Trouble is with 1st class it is taking longer than 1 day to arrive

Anyone else had there delivery method changed to 1st class ?

It was because of the bad weather. They couldn't guarantee one day anymore so it changed to free "expedited" delivery, which is just first class post.

It seems to be back to normal now as product pages say "Get it by 31st January" again for me (also a Prime member).

Not overly impressed as the Prime fee for the last few weeks was a waste of money. But I can't get too excited about it.

Yeah, I recently took up the free trial - ordered about 6 items and they have all been sent 1st Class but said get it by 30th December. Had one arrive yesterday, not had the post yet to see if they all arrive today. Another item I ordered - a cable costing £1.95 has been sent City Link must have cost them more to send that the item cost, so I don't think they know what they are doing.

The thing is they have 2 options for Prime - Free 1st Class Delivery and Free One Day delivery yet they still send out One Day Delivery 1st class.

Hmmm I will keep an eye on this. If they keep sending me Prime orders by first class post then that service will be getting cancelled!

Post has come and only 1 of the 6 items I am waiting on (delivery by 30th Dec) has arrived. Is this level of service is meant to convince me to pay £50 a year once the trial ends?

I'm disgusted with Prime membership now!! After being a 3 year member, with over 600 orders...

I ordered 12 items on Monday, GUARANTEED Thursday delivery
what do the CON ARTISTS at Amazon do? send everything 1st class! but send my printer through city-link...

Royal mail van turns up this morning and gives me 1 item out of 12...

11 to go... I used city-link tracking (for my printer) and what does it say? " on way to delivery hub.

10 to go... Royal Mail van has gone already, normal post has arrived already... so NOTHING!!

This is ridiculous, is this what I'm paying my £49 premium for?! I paid it as a medicine for my impatience, and now they're taking that medicine away from me...I just e-mailed customer service so will let you guys know what happens!

Also, to get the 'Special Delivery by 1 PM' it says you need to pay £4.99 per item....ON TOP OF THE £49 a year for prime?

I ordered a book this morning and it's been shipped but with no tracking available. I'm guessing that means it's coming first class, not SD. :(
