Look im here at least trying to do something i could just be out handing out tickets willy nilly knowing that more people dont know than do about the legalities implied or otherwise of a private ticket.
There are over 70m people in the UK. How many members are there combined (unique) on each of the three sites?
Maybe 2m tops. This site was started 3 years ago. So at that rate and even with expotential growth the mass will not know for at least another 10 years.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Totally disagree. Many decent people would not cheat and deceive in the way PPCs routinely do to earn a living. The industry attracts an anti-social kind of individual for whom greed is king.
Regards public awareness you are sorely wrong but I think you already know that, which is why you are on here. Far more than 10m read the MSE mail. The first instinct these days is to Google the name of the company sending the begging letter. When this is done the nature of the business becomes clear and people are emboldened to ignore the sham threatograms.
If it does not bother you and you are in no danger from consumer sites like this, why bother? Spare us the claptrap about trying to find a reasonable solution. As if you care. We have read the AOS meeting minutes and we know PPCs know that the war is being lost. If the mantra of "ignore" becomes common knowledge it will be curtains for PPCs. And no pathetic attempts to legitimise themselves will save them.0 -

The second point. Where are the stats for this? I id google and wikipedia but found nothing for memebr numbers.
Also if you google my company name it wont bring up a single bad result as peter_the_piper can verfiy.
I am here for a solution i have posted god know how many posts on here (yes i know its to the left when i press submit but im not there now) trying to get what you think is a GOOd and FAIR solution. I have not once tried to justify my actions as i dont feel i need to. Nor have i tried to justify the actions of other companies as i agree with most of you they are in the wrong.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. With regards to the appeals i would be interested in setting up, alongside anyone on here who is interested, an individual appeals service for civil parking tickets and before anyone cries about me being biased i am only biased towards my tickets and even then i am leniant. The service would have strict outline rules for appeals. Issues such as parking accross 2 bays at 11:30pm on a sunday night in the middle of a snow storm would clearly be an appeal as this is not management b ut indeed punishment.
If anybody is interested in looking into this further then please do PM me. If however you are not interested please resist the urge to spout some garbage below about how ti will be unfair, unjust or anothe rprofit making scam cover up.
But why would anyone who knows the system bother to appeal? The best appeal is to simply ignore the 'ticket' as you've already admitted that it's unenforceable.0 -
You asked at the begining what we would like to see happen. Most on here would probably just wish PPC's would disappear. However given it may take time before they do can you answer these questions.
It is often quoted that the signs in these car parks are sited "LEGALLY" when this is quoted which law is being quoted?
The signs are to the LEGAL requirement?
If the signs which are quoted do form a contract, would an untruthful or illegal statement in the sign make it ILLEGAL?
Given that the PPC's say the sign is a binding contract in law, if it is should it not be available and signed in more then English?0 -
As does every other single person in the whole wide world who ever earns a penny. It is done from the back of another man.
Look im here at least trying to do something i could just be out handing out tickets willy nilly knowing that more people dont know than do about the legalities implied or otherwise of a private ticket.

So now we get to the heart of it. You are only interested in profiteering and taking money from those ignorant of their rights. You have confirmed what I stated in my first post. It would be nice to engage with a person or company who is/are genuinely interested in some form of parking management however I have yet to see any evidence of such a company.0 -

I live in a City were for many English is not their first language! My point being if they state the contract is binding if you can not read English?0 -

No we are not, we are talking about Wales also, where Welsh is spoken as well, which brings me to the next point.
Don't signs have to bi-lingual in Wales? And what happens if the person driving doesn't speak English or can't read, where does your alleged contract lie then ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
