But as an alternate the sites on that land may then complain to the landlord regarding loss of income. This may lead to witholding rent (extreme but possible) so in theory the rent on large commerical properties can go into the thousands. I best get my tickets changed.

Also some sites operate where the leaseholders pay towards th ecommunal area and as suc they have an invested interest in the car park and can claim direct loss.

Who decides the loss? God only knows but regardless of what is decided one side will always be unhappy.

    Are retailers currently unhappy?

    You built the car park?
Really? Come on dont be so stupid. You clealry understand what i am talkign about. I am contracted by the landowner or person with authority over the land to manage the parking area.
I am therefore responsible for the parking area.
Anyone parkig there does so to take benefit of the services i provide

Do they employ the PPC's? The answer is the same to both questions.

There is a retail park near me that has about 20 shops, restaurants and so on, its about 3 miles away from town, its not anywhere near industrial estates and so on, so can only be used by geniune shoppers realistically, they have a time limit of 2 hours and a ppc who haunts there.

Can you tell me why on earth would a ppc be there ? imo only for revenue building, really its a problem looking for a solution !
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

So you do not provide the car parking spaces, despite saying you provided the location. Or were you just being stupid when you said that?

You merely get paid by a retail company (or equivalent) to "manage" parking spaces which includes you discriminating against disabled customers.

Is it, how do you know that? Or is that just a PPC ego talking?

There are a number of retail outlets near me with no PPCs no sign-age and business seems to be okay. That is of course anecdotal as I do not have figures for the relevant stores.

Tell us exactly, what services do you provide if any at all?

You still haven't answered my earlier question. Why should any private citizen hand money over to a private citizen working for a private company?
  • Can't be a**ed to follow this thread from now, its just gone down the tubes.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Another question for you, how do you get a contract for a site ? Advertising, being approached by the retailers or landowner? You approaching them? Do you listen to what the retailers say when you are dealing with the landowner ? And what is the cut in a free car park between you/retailers/landowners

    Thanks
