    Or...

    500g broccoli
    4 garlic cloves
    4 tbsp oil
    1 red chilli
    Pasta

Steam or boil the broccoli for about five minutes and drain it well. (Save the liquid.)

    Cook the pasta

Fry the chilli (de-seeded and finely chopped) with the garlic (aslo chopped) until the garlic starts to show transparent. Then add the broccoli, season it with salt and fry it for a few more minutes. You may need to add a splash or two of the liquid you saved.

Drain your pasta and stir it well into the pasta mixture.

Serve it straight away and, optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

    (Serves four)

    Hi faithcecilia,

I second the broccoli cheese, it's delicious! Or what about broccoli (and cheese) soup as that uses quite a lot.

    This thread has more ideas:

I'll add your thread to it later to keep the suggestions together.

  • Where do you live? I live on broccoli... go through a ton... i'll take half of it off your hands :D

you need a broccoli soup to use up a lot at a time... I love broccoli cheese, if you don't have mash you can easily use 500g...!

can I ask how you ended up with 4kg of broccoli? It's an odd mistake!

Hi jackie, how about a lovely quiche with the broccolli added in, since you have cheese, eggs, peppers and mushrooms, and then freeze what you dont need for another day. Or, broccolli soup, head of broccolli, 1 potato, 1 onion, chicken stock. Simmer all until soft and then blitz with the blender.
