Or...
500g broccoli
4 garlic cloves
4 tbsp oil
1 red chilli
Pasta
Steam or boil the broccoli for about five minutes and drain it well. (Save the liquid.)
Cook the pasta
Fry the chilli (de-seeded and finely chopped) with the garlic (aslo chopped) until the garlic starts to show transparent. Then add the broccoli, season it with salt and fry it for a few more minutes. You may need to add a splash or two of the liquid you saved.
Drain your pasta and stir it well into the pasta mixture.
Serve it straight away and, optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

you need a broccoli soup to use up a lot at a time... I love broccoli cheese, if you don't have mash you can easily use 500g...!
can I ask how you ended up with 4kg of broccoli? It's an odd mistake! We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
We love broccoli and cauliflower cheese, especially with grated cheese on top then grilled.

Hi I decided that instead of going to the shops today I would do my ironing instead and 'make do' I need a quick bit of inspiration though I have a head of broccolli that really could do with nbeing used up today (don'r fancy just having it cooked) so I wonder if anyone has a tasy recipe that I can use it up in I have plenty of cheese, eggs, pasta etc and thought maybe a veggie meal for a changeI also have mushrooms and leeks in the freezer, and probably a few sliced peppers .Oh and there are some baby tomato's that need using as well.Any brainwaves chums ?0

Hi jackie, how about a lovely quiche with the broccolli added in, since you have cheese, eggs, peppers and mushrooms, and then freeze what you dont need for another day. Or, broccolli soup, head of broccolli, 1 potato, 1 onion, chicken stock. Simmer all until soft and then blitz with the blender.Every days a School day!0
