what about soup? Brocolli and cauliflower, brocolli and stilton (or cheddar which is lovely)
or what about brocolli cheese (just cauli cheese with brocolli instead - or a mixture of the two)

Had not considered it with a cheese sauce. What a brilliant idea!
Must put that on the meal plan for tomorrow.
never tried a soup with cheese before - might give that a go too.
Any more suggestions?r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

O you lucky so and so! I could live on broccoli! I just steam them and eat them with anything, or as suggested above I do them with cheese as with cauliflower. Yummy! And very healthy too.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
I just had broccoli cheese for my tea
I like it in pasta dishes toode do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
I stir some broccoli florets through peppers, onions, courgettes, splash of oil, seasoning and roast in the oven. Like it when the edges of the broccoli go crispy. Mmmm! It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.:kisses3:0

Hey,
Kinda covered, but we like to cook the broc til its 'al dente' and then toss it with pasta shapes and cheese sauce (with a good dod of grainy mustard stirred in). Hoy the lot in a pyrex in to oven at 180 for 15 mins and you have a lush cheap dinner...0 -
Try putting some passata or blitzed tomatoes onto the broccoli then top with the cheese sauce.
