How weather has affected online shopping for Scotland

• Tesco Direct has stopped taking orders. Grocery deliveries still available
• Sainsbury's has suspended deliveries
• Asda Direct not delivering large items and has stopped orders for in-store collection before Christmas
• Parcel Force has suspended deliveries
• Firebox cannot guarantee next-day delivery
• Boots has suspended next-day deliveries
• M&S not accepting home delivery orders
• Home Delivery Network deliveries "limited" or later than normal
• River Island unable to take new orders. Current orders taking seven-14 days to arrive
• Virgin and Laithwaites wine companies cannot guarantee deliveries before Christmas
• Courier Yodel battling to clear 14-day backlog

im due to travel to edinbough for a weekend but im worried about the weather stopping us from getting home. can someone update me on the weather in the city at the mo? ive looked on bbc weather but it doesnt tell me much ha!!! thanks in advance

I ordered some Percy pig money boxes from Marks and Spencer last Monday to be delivered today............no delivery but an email to say they are delayed till 17th January!!!! I think they have asked poor Percy to walk to Scotland

Weather is absolutely fine at the moment. Main problem for Edinburgh is the side streets which have impacted ice and snow build up where the ploughs put the snow when going down the middle of roads.

that said its due to snow on thursday and the weekend looks dodgy.

Our postie is brill too, Royal Mail are the only deliveries I've had, think I saw something on TV yesterday that lot's of poor posties have been injured in the past 2 weeks including 50 with broken bones:eek: tbh I don't think many of us would bother with work if that was a risk.
Did order some snowboots from M&M direct on the 1st, still no sign of them but I don't know who they use for delivery but they were dispatched on the 3rd.
