Wonder where my Marks parcel is - ordered 3 weeks ago now! Must be stuck in the warehouse in Edinburgh!

If it doesn't arrive soon there won't be any Christmas Cards being sent by me so I will save a fortune in stamps:rotfl:

Well I am in Kent, My parcel was sent via DHL from Cornwall on the 5th but due to the two days of snow we had (unsure about Cornwall) DHL have been unable to deliver any parcels and now that they can they have a backlog to clear. I was told my parcel should be with me by friday last week...still no sign today :( Hoping it does arrive as its a limited edition that is now sold out and unavailable, DS' main prezzie so I will be be gutted if it dont!!

On a good note, Our postie had been round on a sunday...was bit of a shock seeing him and I did start to woder what day it was!!

why are people getting so over excited? theres still 10 delivery days untill christmas.........

    Take a chill pill :)

True, but at what point do you think, right this is not arriving now so best get to shops and replace, shops are heaving now at the weekends. So not ideal to be going round with Buggy, 2 kids etc... especially when one of them will know what I am buying if I am to replace his prezzie that hasnt turned up!!

But.... I am gonna be chilled until 20th dec...then Im gonna start to thaw out :o

had a text from tesco direct today to tell me my stuff is delayed. i ordered on saturday after waiting for my items to come back in stock. i am still waiting for my marks hamper, thorntons choccies and today i ordered a dvd from marks. i am resisting picking up the phone and yelling at some poor cs assistant in a call centre somewhere but i dont know how long i can hold off befor i hit meltdown and lose the plot completely.

btw lawlorlane ive tired my high street today for stuff ds wants and they are universally out of stock on anything popular. boots looks like its been looted lol

  • Parcel Force will from tomorrow (14th), for various parts of Scotland, start to accept items again for delivery, but they will not take any more orders after Friday, for delivery by Christmas - see following for full details :

They have four distribution centres, one in Swansea, one in Glenrothes, another in Inverclyde and one in Milton Keynes. Easy to see why Scottish deliveries from Amazon are affected.

I never knew there was one in Glenrothes! FWIW, Glenrothes is notorious for being affected badly every time there is snowfall.
  • I live in Fife and work in Glenrothes. The road I live on isn't too bad but the pavements are treacherous. The estate I work on in Glenrothes is the same, main road through now clear but where the units are you can hardly walk on the ground the ice is so slippery. HDNL is just up the road from our unit and their vans are out every day but I guess the conditions are such on the side streets that the guys won't be able to make the same amount of deliveries each day. The majority of my parcels are with the Royal Mail . Doesn't matter for the adults but would like my grandsons' presents to arrive.

I spoke to the local sorting office when picking up an item and we've not had as much snow as everyone else but we are apparently 4 days behind so they're having to do Sundays to catch up...

    problem is
RM often do Sunday deliveries on a normal Xmas
so its making a dent rather than clearing
