Still waiting!
Ordered some goods from Amazon off the black friday week on Nov 24th. Dispatched 25th and tracking showed was sent to wrong depot on 26th. It's still sitting at the Leamington depot. Waited patiently as due to snow I understood that there could be a delay.
Finally e-mailed Amazon on Mon 6th Dec to ask what was happeneing. Had a reply to say they would contact HDNL and get back to me in 48hrs.
Had no reply so emailed again on Mon 13th Dec pointing out that package was still showing as sitting in Leamington depot so stated that I would like delivery or please to refund my account so I could go get the item elsewhere.
Got a reply to say that there seemed to be a problem and that they would re-order for me at no cost to myself and upgrade the delivery. Dispatched 16th and then attempted delivery 17th by City link! Was at Uni all day so no-one home. Have now re-scheduled delivery for my day off on Tues so fingers crossed I will have it delivered then otherwise means a 50 mile round trip to collect!!
Oh, and original order still showing as sitting in Leamington. Must be at the bottom of a cage some where in the depot.
Don't you just love the snow?!0 -
We can almost see Swansea's enormous Amazon warehouse. We have had just one day's snow disruption (yesterday).
Unfortunately, my order (made 9th December) has been in Glasgow, Scotland with City Link since 14th December ....Goodness knows why!
The parcel has just arrived :j
Bit of a mystery though - the tracking page claims it left Glasgow at 8.34 this morning ...I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Huge thanks to the guys working at our local sorting office (Portsmouth), and those out delivering this Sunday morning.
I've been waiting for 5 parcels (all Christmas pressies), 2 of which were dispatched November 28th, the others around 10 days ago. All of them were delivered by the postie this morning.0 -
Just had a delivery from HDNL , he says that there is loads of parcels stuck in Droitwich there main sorting hub and many wont get delivered before xmas0

I pre-ordered so express was not an option, it was expedited!! I know full well what delivery service I chose thanks. And as custardy pointed out it has been around long before the snow, this was a delivery option in August this year as already stated.
As you say they can't currently guarantee next day so it's not been renamed, just withdrawn. Lots of companies withdraw that service when they can't meet the conditions.
Well blame Amazon customer service then. I am only saying what they told me. I have never seen the expedited delivery option before only express.0 -
I must admit I do feel slightly sorry for the posties in this weather. I too had a delivery last Sunday, took me a little by surprise. The weather here hasnt been to bad, we have only had significant snow fall yesterday, but Im still waiting for 4 parcels from Amazon. These I ordered on next day delivery using Prime, and the longest order was 9th of December. I can only assume that they are caught up in other parts of the country.
The item I ordered on 9th isnt an item direct from Amazon, and I emailed them Friday asking if they had any information about my item. They emailed me yesterday blaming the bad weather. How true this is I dont know as when I ordered the weather throughout the uk wasnt too bad, and other parcels I ordered have arrived.
I do think that companies are abit quick to jump on the 'bad weather' bus. Ive had parcels from Citylink no problems, it is only the parcels from Royal Mail Im having an issue with.
Patience is the only answer I think. If my items dont arrive until after xmas then so be it. 3 of them are for my husband so he understands, not sure my 2 year old will when her Timmy Time sheep doesnt arrive!!!!!:rotfl::j:):jI am a bankruptcy survivour (10 years ago). It does get easier.:j:):j
:hello:

I'm waiting for two deliveries from Amazon EU s.a.r.l. that were due on 14th December. I'm an Amazon Prime customer and both were marked as dispatched. However I got an email from Amazon last night stating they had refunded the cost of one of my orders.
If it was dispatched as they say then why would they refund?0 -

I'm waiting for the last remaining package from Amazon EU S.a.r.l too, was told to contact them if it hadn't arrived by today, so will give them until tomorrow as RM are doing multiple drops!:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -
I am waiting for a parcel from Amazon which should have been delivered by Royal Mail on the 14th December. I have been tracking it and last Saturday the tracking said it was out for delivery, but I have still not received it. We now have snow in Bristol so god knows when I shall receive it.0
