Christmas Deliveries

I am still waiting for my Amazon order that was due for delivery on the 14th apparently. I suspect newer orders may get dispatched more quickly and the parcels packed at the back of the warehouses will get left till later .

On a brighter note, all the things i ordered from Ebay sellers came very quickly and Urban Outfitters were uber fast too.

Me too.. ordered two CD's off Amazon on 5th, was dispatched on 6th with estimated delivery date of 10th... still waiting! However, ordered a DS game after the CD's and it arrived within 2 days.

Luckily I done the bulk of buying way before bad weather so only waiting on the two CD's, ones a gift to myself and a stocking filler for my DD so no biggie but its still annoying!

My M&S parcel has been sat at my local distribution depot since 6th Dec. I can't go and pick it up. M&S started an investigation on 14th and if no sign by close of business today then they will refund me. Which means I have to go in the shop to try and find the item for my Mum. I was just going to reorder it last week online but it was out of stock. Fingers Crossed.

This weekend, Littlewoods will run a TV campaign (obviously filmed/planned well in advance) which will offer guaranteed Xmas Delivery for orders placed up till 8pm 23rd Dec.

Let's see how that pans out..given that Call Centre staff are already under siege from customers who placed orders weeks ago,and are still awaiting del.

I foresee many disappointed customers......

Thumbs up for Debenhams, on both occasions, orders arrived very quick.

I ordered the beginning of December. My order was sent by courier next day. I have received an email saying when it would be delivered. It didn't arrive that day. City link are not picking up the telephone or replying to emails. The depot is closed for collections! I have even rung the shop where I bought the goods from for help. Any suggestions please. There van drove past our house and we have no snow!

I'm still waiting for my ELC delivery which was placed on the 30th November it is being delivered by HDN who are not taking calls or answering e-mails.I have not got a tracking number.Also the weather has been fine here for well over a week.

OMG it looks like alot of people are still waiting on orders from early Dec ... even late Nov it seems!

Seems ridiculous now though ... Are the warehouses piled high with backlogs yet all the companies are still sending out e-mails saying ''ORDER NOW FOR CHRISTMAS''!

It seems they are not being entirely honest re receiving items before Christmas as alot of them do say no deliveries to Scotland but are accepting orders still for other areas!

I don't know how they can say 'delivered in time for Christmas' now....

And I'm STILL getting tempted by online offers but have a BAD feeling now about any further orders for Christmas delivery so will NOT be ordering anything else online

What I don't understand it my BLASTED BHS one which I ordered on 2nd Dec is at my local courier office but it said ''loaded onto van'' on 16th but is showing now as ''received in depot''

But it must have ALREADY been received in the depot if it was loaded onto the delivery van...

Maybe the van was not able to deliver all the parcels he had on it so they went back

But the last update was last night just 'received at depot' again

Just get it in the blasted van and get it out to me please! lol

Its not even far from me either but I don't drive even though in principle we PAID for HOME DELIVERY - NOT pick up from your local depot!!

I NEED this one to come - its the last one I am waiting for for Christmas and can't afford to re-buy my boyfriends Christmas present so its really WORRYING and frustrating now!!!!!!!!!

I think there are going to be alot of disappointed customers this Christmas and the big companies don't care ONCE THEY'VE GOT OUR MONEY - As they are still looking for further orders from unsuspecting customers!!!!

Thing is I CAN'T blame BHS any more - Its with the COURIER COMPANY ( HNDL ) NOW!! .. So it is their responsibility to get my item to me!

Will try ringing them today - probably 0870 of course its going to be!!! :mad:

Oh dear HDN not answering calls??

I was going to try and ring them to chase up my parcel!!!!

I got SO excited the day it said ''loaded into van''

But ''received at depot isn't good enough'' ... Why not leave it on the van for the next day..

Picturing it lost in a midst of backlogged parcels now :mad:

Amazon - my delivery of 27th Nov turned up this morning. Just shows RM have such a massive pile to clear.
