I'm quite please with how I've got on this weekend:j
I've gone through my list at a steady pace (not just the one on the post above), I've meal planned, sorted out paperwork, been shopping, sorted out loads of stuff and have a good pile waiting to be ebayed now ... although that won't be happening tonight as planned cos am too tired - next chance to do it will prob be next friday night now
and best of all I've spent quality time with DD's :T:A:cool:
I have applied for a bank a/c and have to wait for an e-mail saying whether I'm succesful and am holding my breath cos I got turned down for the prepayment metre. I got a copy of my credit report and there's only 1 bad thing on there back in 2003!!!
I'm going to ring BG and ask whether I can have my application for a credit metre put through to the underwriters (do BG have underwriters?
) and then ask whether I can get them a copy of my credit file so that they can see for themselves before I cap my metre prices tomorrow.
Whilst sorting out paperwork one of the letters was from a loan that I owe just over £400 to saying that I needed to cancel my standing order to them
I rang to ask why and how did they want me to make future payments and they said that I'd paid my debt off and overpaid by £10 which they will forward by cheque within the next month :j:j:j:j:j:j:j I'm still going to count it as outstanding until I get it in writing with my £10 cheque and am totally baffled as I know that I haven't paid the debt off but am not going to argue with them

I've been accepted for my new bank account :j :T
I didn't ask for an overdraft ... just thought I'd get the account up and running first and then see if I can get them to approve an overdraft so that I can move over my existing one (which is getting charged interest) :money:
I'm waiting for a call back from BG as the lady I spoke to isn't sure whether they have underwriters.JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -

Thanks to the feedback on my SOA thread (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1206671) I've contact Busy Bees and been told that I'd be worse off using their vouchers as I would lose part of my tax credits.
I've also just joined the grocery challenge with the aim to get my monthly shopping down to £150 :T:money::cool:
I've been trying to drive really carefully over the last couple of days as well as my right foot does seem to get quite heavy
and I could swear (may just be in my head
) that I'm noticing the difference in my petrol tank already
:j
Am also hoping that HBOS pass on the 0.5% BoE drop to their customers so I save £35 on my monthly mortgage payments :cool:JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -
