No - eating hasn't been something that I've been able to do without great effort and most of my weight was lost within 5/6 weeks. However I'm on the right road now and am eating little and often - and have even started feeling hungry again.

I have spent 23 pounds today on 2 jackets/1 coat/3 tops/1 pair of shoes - averaging at about 3 quid each from charity shops and am now happy that my wardrobe will do until the winter months!!

    and 2.25 on fags.....

I'm going to do a car boot sale in the morning and am kinda scared coz am doing it on my own with a (just) 4 & a 5 yr old. I'm going to try and arrive at 07.30 to start setting up coz the man said that customers start arriving at about 08.30. I haven't got a bloody clue how to display stuff. My friend said she would lend me her pasting table but I won't have room in the car coz have got a rabbit hutch, 2 bar stools and about 5 huge bags!!!!!!! and (2 children). I was thinking about laying stuff out on blankets on the floor.

Car boot sale didn't go well - am going to try again this Sun but go earlier - I haven't even unpacked the boot of the car!!

I've cleared 58.55 off my debts this week - mainly due to sticking to a firm budget thanks to the unneseccary challenge!!

I'm going to try matched betting next month - just need wages to go in and mortgage to come out first to make sure I don't get any charges for there not being enough money in my account.

Almost £100 off this week, that is fantastic! And the money you got from the car boot is money that you wouldn't have had if you had stayed in bed, so be proud of what you have achieved through a bit of extra effort!

In my experience (what little there is) it is better to use a paste table as some of the old dears can't bend down to the floor to have a look at things. (and if they can get down, they can't get up again and then other potential customers fall over them and before you know it chaos reigns at your stall and your children will want to join in.....)

So, anyway, keep up the good work x

    Hi jet77

Just read your thread and wanted to say you're truly inspiring me. I'm quite good at paying things off...feeling really good about it...then spending the money AGAIN!

My total debt is a bit more than yours was when you started, so a HUGE congratulations for getting it down as much as you have. Despite recent setbacks, you must be doing something right!

I've been pretending to myself (and significant other) that I've been paying my debts off for the last 4 months but when I calculated the total today I discovered they're EXACTLY THE SAME! How did that happen???!!!

Anyway, after working out a proper budget this time, and calculating my debt-free date, I think I've given myself the proper fright required. Guess I just kicked my own butt!

    Good luck.

Thank you for your replies - brought a tear to my eye!! - I think that since I had children my water works have gone in to over drive. Starting this thread has really helped me to stay focused.

Ani*fan - have you checked out the first post of the Olympic Challenge thread? there are loads of ideas of how to pay ur debt off more quickly that I found really helpful.

I will post and let you know how I get on tomorrow at the car boot - hoping to work on my tan if nothing else lol
