Let me guess - you're a bit chuffed :rotfl:- well done
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I've just arranged a 0% OD so am hopefully going to have my debts at 0% within the next 5 minutes :j:cool:
I think my debt might have gone up rather than down this month as I've not been managing my £'s as well as I could have - not going out partying or buying designer shoes  but have paid deposit for DD's b'day party and not monitored grocery spend and treated myself to a charity shop spending spree (3 work tops, some framed pictures cos had none on wall in living room  and one extravagence - pair of knee high boots for ..... £3.99:cool::D). We're also going to a christening tomorrow so will need to grab a pressie later today as have nothing suitable for christening gift in my box of pressies.
I've also lost a few days pay when we were house bound due to the snow  it was great fun though

My children were promised that they would go to Disneyland this year by a family member they no longer see - however they haven't forgotten and have been looking forward to it ever since!! I've been accepted for a 0% interest credit card (only 0% until October) and am going to use it to go pay for us to go. Hopefully I will then be able to pay off the balance before the end of the 0% offer!!
Edited to add...
Have now booked DISNEYLAND!!!!!!
:D:D:D I know I've got myself more in debt to do it but it is at 0% and I have given it about 18 months worth of thought before deciding to go for it. The total cost including eurostar, 4 days park passes, 3* half board hotel for 3 nights (with swimming pools) is £795.60 (i.e. £265.20 per person :T).

I'm feeling down

I've paid for car insurance (with cash back), outstanding gas bill, childminders fees for 2 weeks Easter holidays and settled my Avon account and I'm back up to £2193.75 in debt!!!:o:o:eek::eek::o:o I know that at the end of the month my wages and rental income will make a difference to this but right now it seems HUGE _pale__pale_
The breakdown is ....
Overdraft: -£1214.97
Credit Card: -£1200.78
Total: -£2415.75
Betfair: +£100
Quidco: +£122
Total: +£222
Total Debt = £2193.75 :eek::o:eek::o:rolleyes:
I haven't been sticking to my mug system where I draw out money for grocery £30 shopping, £20 petrol and £10 misc weekly and split it between 3 mugs in cupboard. So will have to start this again methinks and have opened a new BF account (£40 quidco cashback hasnt been tracked yet tho
) and am def going to have to start MBing.
The other thing that I'm really panicking about is the lady that I'm covering maternity leave for until end of July has decided to come back early and I've been given my months notice :eek::eek: I've been and registered with 2 employment agencies and have 2 more lined up for next week but have only been able to find 1 suitable job myself to apply for. The difference in job availability since last time I was looking (about a year ago) is really noticeable and there doesn't seem to be much about at all due to the recession.
I've got a mortgage and I understand that I could be eligible to some help after 13 weeks - but firstly I've got to get through 13 weeks with no help and then ... according to entitledto.co.uk I wouldn't be entitled to much help at all because I have some rental income from a 2nd property. I've meal planned for the next 2 weeks and made a small shopping list so am going to go and get the bits on the list, put the next 2 weeks worth of petrol in car and draw out £20 for 2 weeks misc. Then that's it until Sat 25th April.JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0
