My bank charges are nearing the £300 mark and I rang the CCCS yesterday ... but the soonest they can get a counsellor to ring me back is 18th September!! No wonder people get down and depressed about these things when fabulous charities like the CCCS who help so many are so snowed under that you can't get a call back for 3 weeks!!

I re-started my debt diary last week and only spent £43.06 from 21st-27th Aug inc all petrol and shopping :)

This week - I've already spent more than that but that's because I have spent 2 x £30 in Lidl to make most of 2 x £5 vouchers and am just popping out to morrisons to stock up on their 50p deals as tomorrow is the last day.

I will then have enough food to feed an army and hopefully minimise spending over next few weeks - I will spend £10 in Morrisons so will have spent approx £70 in food this week whereas normally I budget for £40 p/w but I really think the ingredients that I've got will last well over 2 weeks .... more like 2 months with top ups on the fruit/veg :)

I took a mortgage payment holiday as I haven't worked due to the summer holidays so that has really made a difference on my total debt.

Back from holiday - where I stuck to budget :) and had an amazing time :D

Really need to knuckle down and keep an eye on the finances now though. I'm going back to my faithful budget - but deducting the fruit and veg box from shopping budget as this gets taken out by DD:

    £30 shopping
    £20 petrol
    £10 unnecessary

Will withdraw on a Fri and update on here on a fri - might also post spend diary on here to shame me in to behaving myself :o:money:

This week is going to be tricky as my Mum wants to meet up and have lunch at a restaurant which will set me back at least £10 and I'm also going out for lunch for a friends birthday which will too be about £10.

    But here goes ...

    M - NSD :T:j:D
    T - £8.73 Shopping
    W - £4.20 Coffee
    W - £12.50 New Look Sale
    W - £5.90 Coffee & cake
    W - £15.81 Pizza Hut
    W - £6.77 Shopping
I know my spending has been silly today but the time I spent with my Mum whilst drinking the coffee and eating in Pizza Hut was invaluable ... and for the £12.50 in New Look I got a Christmas present for my children, a necklace, 2 x bracelet, 4 x earrings and a belt ....bargain ... and I won't be buying petrol cos have enough to last ... and I'm going to cancel the lunch out for my friends birthday tomorrow .... think I've just about justified it to myself now :o

    Total Shopping - £15.50
    Total Petrol - £0
    Total Unnecessary - £38.41
    Total Spend - £53.91

Not quite how the budget should have gone :o - but still came in under the £60 a week total budget that I've given myself :T

I'm rolling over the £6.09 left from last week so total budget is £66.09.

This should be £20 petrol, £10 unnecesary and £30 shopping ... but things are not going to plan as am forking out for a KFC for £23 today for all those who are helping with the collection and moving about of freecycle for me ... therefore I'm lumping all budget together.

    M - £20 petrol
    M - £23 KFC
    T - £7 Shopping
    T - £15.50 Shopping
    W- £5 Shopping

    S - £25 very rare night out
S - £7 fry up at Morrisons and some shopping

Oh dear - not good this week!!
