I sent them a letter asking them to check if I had received it and, if not, to send me a form. Received a claim form in the post yesterday morning - will keep you posted0

I think its around £500 a year, plus an extra amount if you had a child in 2002.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

For FREE advice. Your local CAB Office - ask to speak to a 'money advisor'.*The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111*National Debtline - Tel: 0800 808 4000*Payplan - Tel: 0800 917 7823*Insolvency Helpline-0800 074 69180 -

HOw, folks, I am a bit confused about this, is this applicable for people who are already claiming child tax credit or family tax credit? Because I dont really know exactly what to tell them. My son was born in 1999 and my daughter in 2000, when the Child tax credit was introduced I applied to that and we received some money every month.0

As I understand it
this relates to a child tax credit for the tax years 2001 to 2003 which should have been applied to your tax code if you were working. It has nothing to do with WFTC and is being claimed as the result of working parents not being aware or applying for it at that time.
I`m off to post my letter shortly. Fingers crossed:T1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

Sorry if this has already been answered but does anyone know if both parents should get this tax relief applied to their tax code or should it only be applied to one of them as I think I may have received it but don't think my husband did, thanks.0

It only applies to the main earner at the time, in our case it was my husband.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
