    Oh has just phoned up and apparently there is a cheque in the post to us £1500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:T :beer: :j

    I'm not getting quite that excited 'till the cheque is in my hands though..........................but perfect timing as we need a car desperately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Right, thats it I'm getting him to call them on Monday and ask for the claim form. We sent a letter over a month ago and no reply. You must be over the moon!

    After reading this I'm going to write a letter on Monday, My son born 1995. My OH was in a different relationship at the time and has 3 children born in that time so fingers crossed we might get some much needed pennies.

    I think I may have already received mine. I just dug out my OH's old PAYE coding notices for 2001 and 2002 and there is something on there about child tax credits with a tax code being given of 702H.

    Oh well I was a bit excited for a while!

    Stumbled across this site and wondering if self employed people are entitled to claim this, because my brother was born in 1987, and i'll have to do this for mum and dad.
