Therefore without complaining, and after being told Electricity would be on Standard tariff until the gas goes over (which hasn't yet), it would appear they are charging me correctly on Online 7... woohoo!! Something goes right at last!!!!

It surely is a miracle. :T You are blessed .....or French.... and they have given you special treatment.

Still waiting for topcashback however it is confirmed... also, on my electricity bill, although the figures are correct, it doesn't show any of my welcome bonus? Anyone else had this problem or has it shown on everyones 1st bill? X

The welcome bonus is not credited until you have been on supply for 90 days. Have you?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

My first gas bill only consisted of the £25 Gas Welcome Bonus.

    No other bills as yet.

It really is the most random of systems that they operate. I can only see it ending in tears for them.
  • No, so that would explain it... thanks macman!
I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.

    Thank you, Chrissy

    Not true for me.

    Gas supply from 15/12/10.
    Welcome bonus 20/12/10.

    I think it's within 90 days.

Also I absolutley despise that music you get when on hold :mad::mad:

    72 minutes now :mad::mad::mad:

I know and Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour did so many pieces.

    Sacre bleu.

Totally agree. Most of us have problems with the system, but rarely exactly the same issue, or the same resolution.
How can some people be told that My Account is not available for sign up, and others can? Why two different account number systems?
This is a brand new system, so surely it should have some common functionality?
I'm now fully expecting the power to go off from 11 to 1 when the French lunch break starts...and it probably won't work at all at weekends :D
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • My electricity bill has arrived (metaphorically speaking, it's online)! It's for the period 30/12/10 - 4/1/11, it has the opening meter reading I gave them and then an estimated reading for 4/1/11....of exactly the same meter reading. Total charge £1.58, which is the standing charge!! No mention of any £25 welcome bonus. !!!!!!??

    From the EDF T&C's:

'The £75 and £25 goodwill credits will be credited to your Electricity and/or Gas account respectively
within 90 days of your supply having transferred successfully to EDF Energy.

So you might get it 1 day in, you might wait 90 days?
    Delightfully Gallic, non?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I am going to suggest to my contact at EDF, that they finance a Social for the MSE 'Victims of EDF'.

Perhaps a few cases of Sancerre and Chablis to wash down the frogs legs, snails and a fruity Pinot Noir for the chateaubriand.

    Guest list?

Guest speaker : Richard Keys. (good at !!!! ups) :D
