Hi All,
Does anybody know the latest that BT are offering to retain customers on BT Broadband option 3 (unlimited usage up to 20Mb speed) and BT unlimited anytime phone calls?
This time last year the best offer (as in last year's discussions on thread above) was £13/mth for the package on a 12 mth contract, which I took and have been happy with this.
For other BT users info, so far I have been quoted £18.15/mth for BT unlimited broadband (option 3) and BT anytime calls, 12mths contract.
Has anybody been offered a better deal than the above to renew? Thanks.

We have recently renewed our contract for another 12 months @ £13.25 pm for unlimited broadband & free evening/weekend calls. This was £10 last year. Hope this helps?

Thanks Nicks, yes does help a lot. As BT anytime calls cost £4.90, unlimited broadband at your price of £13.25 + £4.90 = £18.15 which is exactly what I have been quoted, so probably a reasonable deal for me to renew at. Thanks again.

they just reduced my broadband from £22 to £10.25 :beer:0

Probably yes, you'll go on a 'rolling contract'' , paying 18 a month until you do something about it.
that's what most service providers do when contracts come to an end and the customer do not call to cancel or renegotiate. Some are cheekier and automatically renew your contact for another year. Forgot which company it is now, but i am quite sure that happened to some MSEer0 -

They have already charged me this month £21 for BB:eek:
I called them and I renew for £13.25 for another 12 months (broadband option 3 evenings and w/ends)0 -
I started another thread last night as I was completely confused by what BB options were available to me. I've also posted this result on my other thread so the guys who helped me there are aware of what a great result I achieved with their help and that of people on this thread too.
I was paying £37.10 (£14.60 line rental and £22.50 bb for option 2), and had been for years. Stupid me!
Having digested last night's information, and advice from all of you lovely guys, today, I rang BT on 0800 800 030 option 1, and was immediately offered a much more attractive deal. I barely had to speak
So, having seen what other options were available, I was able to see that the offer was very reasonable and is even more valuable as it is the no hassle/low risk option, given where I live with an elderly BT exchange.
They offered BT Option 2 with enhanced phone package (free evening and weekend calls) at £14.60 line rental and £10.25 (was £22.50) broadband. When I said that the line rental was too much (not reduced at all), they offered it at £10 per month (though this £120 had to be paid up front). So an overall annual saving of £204.:T:money::T
I also mentioned that my broadband keeps dropping out, so I was passed to the technical dept. They have tested the line, and say there is a fault. Whether the fault is on my line or at the exchange remains to be seen. If it's at the exchange, I suspect it'll be somethng I have to live with, but we'll see.
I can't tell you how much happier I am tonight. I feel in control now I understand a little more, and will be happy to negotiate again later in the year as the end of contract looms.
I couldn't have done it without all the advice on this thread and my own new thread where I asked lots of naive questions and was so patiently answered.:T
So a BIG THANKS from me. Much appreciate the time you've all taken to help me :T
xx
ETA - almost forgot, more good news! I passed this info onto a friend who is struggling to work at the moment. She rang BT and has saved £100 over the next year, so is well chuffed, too. You're all stars!!0
