Hi all, so pleased i could help!
I actually ended up finding this out after many weeks of frustration, I was on the 10gb tariff (i had been for years with no problems) and suddenly the useage was going over 100gb a month! We dont download anything, and even bt eventually agreed there was some kind of problem, after trying to get me to pay for the upgrade, i was eventually put in touch with a fantastic agent who called me back, and told me they had reduced the prices due to the imminent roll out of their infinity broadband packages. So i got unlimited for less than i paid for 10gb.
Everyone is entitled to these prices, although the old ones seemingly are still being advertised.
Good luck to all !0 -
New customers can get the same deals but not via normal BT sales.

Its not a drop in prices its retention offers to renew your contract.
Finally found this thread again, and just wanted to come back and thank OP for posting, and to you for posting the phone number.
I phoned after only being a new customer with BT for 2 weeks and got unlimited calls and unlimited broadband for £10.50 a month, thus worth making that call even if you are within contract.0 -
I too would reccomend doing this.
I called them yesterday having been with them for over four years and got my option 1 reduced to £5.00 a month from £15.99. Very pleased with that. I've never gone over 10GB download so didn't need a bigger download option.0
