Food shopping on Christmas Eve????????

What's the best time to hit the supermarkets on Christmas Eve for the bargains anyone please? This is my first year of not having to work Christmas Eve so I'd like to make the most of the bargains!
It really is 'hit & miss' if I find a bargain. I'll be going to Tesco at about 12ish to suss out the fresh meat. Like I've said, I don't actually need anything but my freezer has room and I love a bargain! After Tesco I'll try Asda & Sainsburys.
I don't hang about in each one unless I see a member of staff with the yellow stickers. If stocks are low to begin with I won't return but if there is a lot of turkeys (or veg) I'll call back. I've found Tesco is best for meat reductions and Asda is best for the 10p bags of sprouts!

i am VERY much looking forward to going to Tesco tonight at 4pm...
They are shut Christmas and Boxing days, so hoping that there will be some mega reductions!
I went to a Tesco Express last night and they were busy reducing EVERYTHING with today and tomorrows dates - quite excited!0 -
Mum went to sainsburys yesterday and said there was empty shelves. She said I ask you how can they run out of sellotape. They were dismantling all the xmas shelves already.0

I've just come back from a shop in Feltham. We're lucky as we have Lidl, Aldi, Asda and Tesco all within 5 minutes walking distance of each other.
So, currently, Asda have £5 off their Turkey's (loads of them in stock still) and about 1/3 off the usual reduced items e.g. ready meals and desserts. Tesco had 10% off their usual reduced items, no Meat reduced yet, Lidl didn't really have anything reduced BUT Aldi had 50% off their items with dates within the next 3 days! Carrots 19p, Parsnips 19p, Courgettes 49p, Steak Mince £1.20, Lamb chops £1.70, Cornish pasties 25p each, Chicken Pies 25p each.:j
Obviously, all discounts will be store specific and stock specific. DH is braving going to the bigger Tesco later on. Good luck with the bargains and Merry Christmas.0 -
Last year I did really well with sides of salmon in Sainsburys- they were selling them at a quarter of their normal [price. That was at about 3 I think.0

Lots of reductions in Morrisons this morning at 9.30am. Large chickens all half price and getting snapped up. Party foods, snack cold meats, fresh cream, fresh meats - anything with a date of 26 Dec or sooner was reduced. Also masses of fresh fruit, veg, salads etc already down to pence. (ie twin bags salad @ 19p, melons 25p)
Girl doing the reductions said that they'd been told that everything must sell and nothing wasted so they were to start reducing it all early.
My Tesco and my Nettos alway have fantastic bargains the first morning they open after Christmas, so all not lost for those who miss todays.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £68.12/ £250

MY OH works at Sainsbury's they wont even allow staff to do shop in there own time whilst at work and put shopping aside now. I believe this is because some staff abused the system looking for bargains
Its a shame because my OH is working all day and we still need a few things like milk, bread etc0 -
Just been to our local Morrisons which was suprisingly quiet. Picked up the usual reduced bread and also 2 whole salmons for only £9. Bargain!0
