  • Just wish I could go...........roads out of village still only 4x4able. :(

3 of my neighbours have been to Tesco's and must've found plenty to buy, judging by the amount of carriers I saw them unload from their 4x4s.................nice of them ask if I needed anything when they drove past me and cheerily waved on their way there :rotfl:

I had my shopping delivered from asda at 9.30 this morning and the products unavailable the didn't bring m were the ones i couldn't do without! so still had to visit the local Tesco.
It was 11.30am today and the shelves were empty! hardly any fresh pizzas/garlic breads. Nothing on the shelves where the meringue nests and flan cases were! and couldn't get any sausages with bacon wrapped round them either!
so thought i'd have stress free shopping getting it delivered but still had to visit Tesco and a farmshop near by too!

May I ask why you didn't buy the sausages and bacon separate and wrap them yourself? I bought mine a couple of weeks ago, wrapped them and then put them in the freezer. I'll be taking them out to defrost tomorrow.

There really is no need to buy things last minute! The only reason I'll be going shopping is to buy bargain items to stock up my freezer or cheap veg that will still be ok in a couple of weeks time! I store the veg in the garage and it keeps really well.

we used to go shopping at silly o clock in the morning, but can't be bothered now, oh went to Morrisons at 4 this afternoon, and was ok. I can't see the point at going for 3-00 in the morning!! But i'm older and wiser now.......

What's the best time to hit the supermarkets on Christmas Eve for the bargains anyone please? This is my first year of not having to work Christmas Eve so I'd like to make the most of the bargains!
  • I went to morrisons tonight at about 9pm and hardly anyone was there. Managed to get everything on my list apart from a bottle of lemonade and a yule log but I'll be able to pick them up elsewhere tomorrow when I'm out :)

I couldn't I was having panic attacks tonight in Asda and it wasn't that busy at all. M&S was really quiet tonight which shocked me.

I've saw people actually fighting in my work over bread/milk etc on Christmas Eve :/ had to call the police in and everything. People get so aggressive.

  • I popped into my local small Sainsburys about 3pm on Christmas eve last year and they were putting the Easter Eggs out

My local Tesco has the creme eggs out already....
