Next step is to get CPS to run it.

    Surely you mean "ruin it"?
your neighbours seen but didnt think to cal police, nice neighbours!

Maybe they figured if the garage turned up in a signwritten van that the OP had some arrangement to have the garage do the work on their premises, perhaps because the car wasn't safe to drive.

You'd think nobody would be dumb enough to steal parts in their own signwritten van, but sometimes plain sight is the best way to do things, for example if you wanted to steal roadsigns or traffic cones you should wear a hi vis jacket and nobody will report it.

op says he woke to find his car in this state so garage must of done it during the early hours, i certainy wouldnt think that work was being carried out even in a signwritten van. plus shokers cant be undone unless access to top mounts wich they would of had to have a key to the boot or op left car open al night!

his neighbours seen, but OP wasnt woken buy clunking and clattering???

instead of caling the police the OP gets on here to ask what he should do?? next his car will be onfire infront of the house and he'll come on here asking shall i call 999 or shall i walk to the firestation?

None of our three need access to anything other than the wheelarch to get the rear shocks off. One of the cars will damage the rear torsion bar if you remove both shocks at once and drop both trailing arms down though.

Yes, dropping both trailing arms at the same time can damage the torsion bar assembly, you only ever swop one at a time, or support the trailing arms so they can't drop too far.

An Astra has a beam axle with coils springs, and on some models the shock top mount is in the boot! OP said his is an estate which can come off from below.

Still like to see a photo though!;)

Why would OP bother to post a photo given that he's already been called a windup merchant? If I was OP I would not feel inclined to post any evidence. Whereas had we treated him more respectfully, we could have got a photo in a more positive way.
