YesWe can't debate because if you disagree with the bulls you are wrong...
Much like now, the bulls keep telling me asking prices aren't dropping, yet I can see they are.
You can only see that because you're looking at something that measures asking price drops.
What do you expect to see? People putting houses on the market and then upping the price every week?0 -

My tuppence worth. Instead of renaming the board, why doesn't every regular get a new username & we can have our own advent calendar style try to work out who is who?:D
That reminds me, I haven't spotted a new incarnation of Dithering Dad (aka Harry Powell), a pity because although they could be quite nasty, they could also be quite lyrical.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

People can & should disagree. The nastiness, & virtual personal attacks need stopping though.
I agree. I post now and again on this board, but not often because I don't enjoy being personally attacked, even online, so I try not to draw too much attention to myself here. And when I have posted, I've found that my points have been ignored in favour of pages of yet more in-jokes and in-fighting.0 -

Well, I for one am sorry you felt like that. We do have in jokes, I think in the main they started as a way for regulars to ''deal with'' the fighting, which as you say, is not so nice. Its a shame you feel put off though.

I hope that most posters would at least have read your point. erhaps your eloquence in putting your point across is too good, & no-one can fault/criticize what you have said?:) I'd encourage persistence in posting, & ignore the infighting.
Being personally attacked is interesting. I have no real beef with it, in that it is just an image on a screen. I actually get bored with the posts that are aggressive for the sake of it. I just feel they are unneccessary.
BTW, ther is an ignore function you can use!:)lostinrates wrote: »Well, I for one am sorry you felt like that. We do have in jokes, I think in the main they started as a way for regulars to ''deal with'' the fighting, which as you say, is not so nice. Its a shame you feel put off though.
I agree. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I avoided the ignore button for ages but it is actually quite cool. The only thing is when you have your list of people you would ignore on ignore not much happens here.0

You'd spot me a mile away.
I'd back up my points with facts and I'd use the affectionate name people refer me as ISTL
