I cannot believe it.
£1,674.00 paid up
Just rang Halifax and spoke to such a lovely lady . Mentioned that it's a lot of money to lose £548.00 and wasn't happy. Did also mention that if it went to court I wouldn't have to pay.
She didn't have to go away and speak to someone else and said OKay we'll pay the full amount.

For the record here was my progress
27th December - Rang for 4 1/2 years of statements ( paid £5.00 )
02nd January - Received 42 envelopes through the post
02nd January - Sent off my 1st letter to our local branch
05th January - Letter from branch to say, forwarding to Leeds
15th January - Sent 2nd letter to Leeds stating reference number
22nd January - Sent 3rd letter which outlines all info + interest charges.
Whilst actioning my 3rd letter, unknown to myself halifax was trying to contact me via our home . ( dodgy b.t. line at moment ).
23rd January - letter dated 22nd January offering £1,126.00. Rang and said no and they paid up £1,674.00:T
So to speak to took me just under 4 weeks of work. Well worth it.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
I contacted the Halifax a week before christmas in regards to bank charges, I was told they would reply to me within a week. A got a reply on the 27Dec, to inform me they were looking into it, i rang them and they told me it would take a week, and rang back again and was told they had until the 24th January(tomorrow) to resolve the matter. Today i received a letter informing me that they were still investigating my complaint and i will receive a response no later than 21st feb. Do i have to wait until that date or would i be able to send them a letter threating court action????
Please HelpTotal bank charges so far are £2000.00 and they are still adding charges on.

Don't phone, put everything in writing. Send off your letter before action and keep to your timescale.0 -
