Hi there, possibly a question for Edingburgh lass...

I successfully received refund of charges back in April and paid off so many debts it's been great.

My husband is still self employed and has had a number of days sick so hasn't been paid therefore we spiralled back into the charge situation again.

I didn't sign anything when I had my refund to say I wouldn't apply again, therefore am I entitled to request these charges back again? It only amounts to a little under 200.00 but it's the principal.
We will win this! we will!.... and we did! :j :p
  • Just got my declineing letter, even though i was told by a reliable source that the halifax would pay out. Ive just downloaded the going to court letter and am starting to sxxt myself. What if i lose, i cant afford much now without having to pay court costs. HELP.

Provided you haven't signed anything, then yes you can start another claim.

Haven't posted on here for a while but I have had a couple of successess including a £3000 part payment from Halifax. I am about to file a claim for the rest plus interest on the three accounts I have with them.

I am thinking of making a combined claim for all three as filing three separate claims will be costly as the total is around another £2500 plus interest.

Does eveyone think this is a good idea, I have to say I can't see what the difficulty might be as I have individual records for all three but I would like some feedback please.

    Thanks as always

Yep Halifax did this to us too as they do to many others, so filed with moneyclaim and was paid in full plus interest about 2 days before it was due in court.

As this thread has got horrendously long I'm going to close this one but keep the HBOS thread running along.

The HBOS thread was originally started by Bank of Scotland claimants in the main from Scotland but as both banks and claims are now fully integrated together the same information can be found on the HBOS thread.

HBOS aka Halifax Bank of Scotland

I would also urge all HBOS claimants to read this thread where users are having great success having their claim re-evalutated and their offers upped.
