Hi everyone, has any one claimed on Haliax classic and one credit cards? I have sent off for the list of charges a few months back, got them worked out my figues and called the bank, asked them for the money back and they basically fobbed me off so i am now doing MCOL, i have filled in the on linre claims form but the address for both accounts is
CARD SERVICES
PITREAVIE BUSINESS PARK
DUNFERMLINE
FIFE
KY99 4BS
I am really stuck now the MCOL form doesn't let me enter this address because it's outside England And Wales, does anyone know where i should serve the notices to? Thanks everyone and good luck to us all. xxx

to be short, basically i put in a claim with the halifax and whilst waiting for the money to come through (ie win the case) they hit me with more charges. the worst being they honoured a debit card transaction for £6.99 which put me overdrawn by 55p and hit me with £58 in charges  , the thing is i had money in my other 2 accounts and could have paid the £6.99 with them if it was refused
my question is....can i claim against them again for the monies they took off me from filing mcol and the present date?
i have already opened another account somewhere else and they refused to waver the above charges over the phone..
many thanks in advance...slughalifax bank claimed £4803 (£5863.88 inc%) paid £6143.29 :j
CapitalOne card claiming £478 (£609.18 inc%) paid £689.71 :j
Citicards claiming £700 (£888.23 inc%)
halifax bank (account 2) claiming £543.15 (£564.09 inc%) put on hold due to OFT outcome0 -
I'm in the process of claiming back over £4000 of bank charges from boooo hissss halifax , have had statements and the usual go away letter.I gave them a chance to settle saying i would except charges minus the interest and had no reply so i started mcol claim. They acknowledged on the 5th july, 14 days would of been up monday. However today i have received a letter from them offering me a little over £2000 (less than 50% of the charges, dont have actual figures to hand).Oviously i dont want to accept the offer as it is pants but what should i do?? Should i phone and see if they will up the offer, but i dont expect i will get the interest to or should i sit and wait out the money claim, its has just over 2 weeks till 28 days are up and i could potenial end up with just over £5000 as i would get the interest and the £120 court fee i have paid. Also what would happen with the money claim if i accepted an offer from halifax???
thanks all xx0 -

As you have already started the process through MCOL you may as well let the claim run its course to the timescale as you've gone this far already. You've incurred more charges by paying the Court fee. Have you phoned them yet to haggle. If not ring them tell them you have issued through MCOL now anyway and see what they have to say. Good luck.0 -
Yay another victory!
Gone through all the usual process. had an offer of 77.50 which was half the charges, phoned on friday and said i wasn't really happy with it and could it be re evaluated. They said iw ould get a call back asap.First thing this morning a lovey man called Jon called me, asked how he could help, i explained that i would really like the whole amount..lol especialy as i was claiming so little.
He checked my account and said yes, happy to do it, payment will be in my bank within next 14 days, usualy gos in very quickly. No MCOL yay
Had to take halifax credit card to court!   :money:
so all 3 accounts claimed and all 3 paying out,all in all 489.31, not much to some but i am happy

Hi all,
I've had my letter offering 50%, 2 days after speaking to Richard (6 weeks of waiting for my re-evaluation had passed) I rung the number of the person dealing said I wasn't happy he said what would make me. I said all charges plus interest, the best he could offer was all charges so I said yes thanks.
£5353 coming to my account sometime.0 -
Hi All,
Had an offer of £1375 for £2175 claim.
I have a lady ringing me back tomorrow morning who is dealing with my case, so i will haggle and hopefully get the full amount, i am not claiming interest but i have already issued mcol so that amount includes the £120 ive had to shell out.
Lets hope for success tomorrowWill report back and let you all know how it went
