Is the remaining £433.08 your interest by any chance? If you have started proceedings then its up to you whether you continue. Halifax do negotiate so if the £400+ is interest decide whether you want to mess about through the courts etc to get it or do you take the £700+ that you thought you would never see again, it is liklely they will offer you the £120 to stop proceedings...

If you do wich to continue down the court route to get your interest send them a letter along the lines of you accept the amount as PART PAYMENT ONLY & WITHOUT PREJUDICE but you will continue the claim until you get a cheque for the full amount requested.

I personally think that anyone who has received an offer (usually around 50%) or has started the court process but is willing to settle without interest should phone and haggle. Tell them your not happy with the offer and they should increase it to the full amount less interest with very little trouble. If you've already filed court papers phone and explain that you were hoping they'd be prepared to make an offer without having to go through the court process. You most likely won't get interest without going through court but it depends on what you're prepared to accept.

    :j I am sooooo happy :T

Following up my earlier posts, got my letter yesterday offering the £1417 in response to claim of £2860. Phoned up the number on the letter and basically they asked me how much I wanted, I said the full amount claimed and she said they had calculated it to be £2835 and would I accept that!! I said yes of course, and she said ok the money will be in your account within 14 days :j Thank you to everyone on here and to all the postings with advice. I say to anyone keep going, persevere and dont give up when you get the first letter. ring them up and haggle and be nice, it works every time. Thanks Martin without you I would never had done it. I can pay up all my overdrafts, credit cards and have a bit left over to enjoy.

Hi everyone, has any one claimed on Haliax classic and one credit cards? I have sent off for the list of charges a few months back, got them worked out my figues and called the bank, asked them for the money back and they basically fobbed me off so i am now doing MCOL, i have filled in the on linre claims form but the address for both accounts is
    CARD SERVICES
    PITREAVIE BUSINESS PARK
    DUNFERMLINE
    FIFE
    KY99 4BS
I am really stuck now the MCOL form doesn't let me enter this address because it's outside England And Wales, does anyone know where i should serve the notices to? Thanks everyone and good luck to us all. xxx

Hi which bank are you claiming off?
The only advice i can give to you is that most people who are claiming there charges back feel scared at some point i felt scared last week then i get a full settlement yesturday just hang in there it will be worth it in the end.
