  • Hello all,

Thank you for all the help and advise that has already been posted and good luck to all those going through a claim at the moment.

I've reached stage 4 of the claim process and need to send my LBA this week. Can someone please tell me where I get the name of the court from?

Apologies if it's in the article and I've missed it or if this has already been asked and answered elsewhere.

    Thanks

Move onto the next stage of the process now. You need to issue a court claim.

  • Can any one help me I have wrote a first letter to the Halifax to claim my back my unfair bank charges. This was on the 8/1/07 to this address

    Halifax Plc
    Motherwell Contact Centre
    250 Airbles Road
    Motherwell
    ML1 3RU

However, I have not received a response back yet. At the same time, I wrote a letter to First Direct and two days later, I received a letter saying that they are dealing with my complaint
Can anyone help me with another address I can use, so I can send of another letter to the Halifax this time using recorded delivery?
In addition, I know that people have been a bit concerned about the Halifax taking away their overdraft facilities. Has this happened to anyone?

    Thanks

  • Hi, I'm new to all this so please bear with me.
I reckon the Halifax might owe me a few quid in these unfair charges, but as I have read they may want to close your account, I was just wondering what happens with other financial sectors of the bank - eg, both my mortgage and car insurance are with the Halifax. Are they likely to tell me to sling my hook in all three departments?
    Thanks

Hi Guys, I had an offer of £125 from Halifax at the beginning of December in response to my bank charges request for £201 which i have not responded to. Whats the next stage for me now with regards to the process- do i start the online claim? The reason i havent done anything since December is ive been setting up a parachute account with Co-op as i pay Blair Scott & Oliver (halifax's debt collection co) £50 a month towards a very old Halifax CC debt and dont want them to take money out of my Cashminder account to pay the CC debt if i pursue the full bank charges amount now. Halifax took £600 out of my Cashcard account in November three days after me requesting my bank charges back so even though im paying them £50 a month i have waited until my Coop account is set up (ie now) to have my wages paid into it. Hope that makes sense? Any help appreciated

All banks can and some will close your current account, however your mortage and insurance are separate agreements.

If you decide not to accept this offer you then tell them you are refusing and proceeding with court action.
