halifax bank charges (merged)

Hi,
I'm doing 2 separate claims through 2 accounts with Halifax, sent off both letters at the same (inc Interest) one coming to £1036 and the other is about £500, I had a letter back declining the re-charge for the £500 after about 3-4 days, but I haven't had anything from the larger amount yet, and it will be 3 weeks on Friday...what do you suggest I do? ring up? send the letter again or send the next letter about court action? (I am sending ALL my letters special delivery so I know it's getting to them, it may cost £4 but it's worth it)
Cheers.0 -

Hello folks, Well I sent off my request for statements in early May and have received a letter acknowledging my request. I've been told that I will receive my statements within the 40 days that I gave them... but this is where it gets embarrassing... is it 40 working days or 40 days? Sorry to sound like a fool but I wanted to ask people on here rather than the Halifax for obvious reasons!Don't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines

hi guys
got an offer this morning of £171.50 out of a claim for £370 (although i had added interest they had debited of £43) i rang up again and the woman on the phone basically said that there has been no evidence to suggest that their charges only really cost £3 and that my offer is an offer of goodwill&that they will not go higher.
I threatened with the Ombudsman etc and she said thats fair enough but not to say i will get it back.
Im a student and skint, lol. So i dont know whether to accept the offer or wait it out with MCOL? how long do you think it will take, as they are saying that my account will be debited with the money within 14days.
Please any advice will be great
Thanks0 -

lol@the crapbag comment.
Mcol is the moneyclaim website in which you go through to commence court procedings online. If you look on the homepage for this website it mentions it in greater detail, here is a link for the page about court procedings and 'mcol' http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges#court
