    I got a slightly strange but good letter in the post. my total claim was for around £220 but they have agreed to pay me £357!!! is this a mistake on their part or is that a trick up their sleeve...i know that i should be happy but i cant help thinking that either they have something up their sleeve or im missing something....anyone else got more than they bargained for?

  • Well this is fun ........NOT

    I am claiming through a Company who are doing all the hard work for me!
    Well over 40 days have past and i still havent recieved my bank statements :s , i rang the company yesterday to see if the Halifax have sent them there instead but they hadnt so i said i will pop in the bank and find out whats going on!

    I spoke to a lovely lady who was very helpful, she informed me that there was no note of anything ever being recieved and my acc im claiming from has been closed :/

    I rang the Customer relations department tonight and spoke to a nice lady who was all apologetic as when i asked about my statements she then said that my acc had been closed a while back and there was no notes of a complaint regarding unfair bank charges etc.. so i asked her how much overdrawn i was and her reply was that acc dont exist :s i was like but i have some old statements here and i used that acc up until 4 months ago so i know it exists,, it seems all my acc info has been lost :( has anyone else had this or are the fobbing me off? i genuinly believe the woman was doing her best to help me, she was just as shocked as me tyhat the system shows nothing and tried contacting a manager but none were around!
    I reall hope they havent lost my acc details .. or if they have is there anything i can do as it will stop me claiming if there is nothing on file to claim from :(

    p.s- If it gets sorted do i have to wait all over again or will it go from when the first letter was sent back in mid April? Thanks for any info :)

    :mad: It doesn't look like this Company is doing any of the hard work for you at all. Tell them to bog off and carry on without them, why waste the money ? :mad:

    Hi, I rang the number quoted 0191 2357810 and got through straight away. I couldn't get through at all on the 01244 number on the decline letter. I had already sent the follow up to the decline and 14 days have now passed. The lady was very nice and said that it had been received but there was a backlog (what a suprise!!) Anyway she said that they should be able to come to some sort of arrangement and she would look at it today and send me a letter in tonights post, so should get a reply tomorrow.

    Lets hope so, well worth a call.

    Fobbing you off without a doubt. I think they've had training to sound nice but be absolutly useless. They haven't lost your account details, complain to the FO.

    But the company you've hired should be doing all of this, this is why you've hired them!

    Hi everyone need a bit of help!! At MCOL stage, got an acknowledgment of service (17th May). they have untill 14th of june to put in defence. Now I have received a letter 31st May saying "charges have been correctly applied" which was a reply to letter I sent in 10th April should I continue with MCOL myself or go to FOS.

    Continue, everyone is getting this letter. Mine didn't even have my name on!

    Hi so is everyone getting a automated decline letter after the first and the second letter sent or just the first?? Please help as I want to see where everyone else is?!?!? I only sent the second letter the other day is it worth me phoning them? Please reply Thankies
