Yeah I did. But I've gone all the way. Presently at the MCOL stage and waiting on the Halifax....

Al I can say is to keep going and use the templates kindly provided on this site. Also if you stick to YOUR time frames it shows the banks you are in charge and they aren't dictating proceedings. They use that stance to stall for time. After all they are making money from you. The over-riding fact is that they have applied charges and made a profit which they are not allowed to do.

hi i got my claim acknowleadged the day before yesterday after mcol allowed the bank extra time, i am going to give it till next week and call the banks cs number and ask if they want to continue with court or settle out of court,i havent asked for intrest though so i dont have alot to bargin with but hay it's money i wernt expecting if i do get back most of it good luck to you

Hi, I would use the list of charges, Halifax are now producing lists of charges rather than all the statements to save time and money and paper! I have just used a list of charges and at stage 3 now. Dont bother waiting for the statements, they may never arrive. Good luck

Hi folks, am in the stage of claiming on two accounts with halifax have sent letters and got the usual letter back stating it fair etc. first claim is for 4,000 plus interest which takes it over the 5,000 limit with small claims, can anyone give some advice as to is it the 4,000 which puts it in the small claims or does the interest added take it out of small claims?? The second account is for about 1,500 with interest. will claim seperately. Has anyones claim gone over 5,000 with interest ??

I'm helping two family members with claims.

The Halifax claim:- only just received a letter from Halifax stating that the £10 cheque has been cancelled(as they dont' charge for statements), and the statements are 'on their way'! Hmm. I requested the statements 30th March. So much for 40 days. Ploddy Halifax! We haven't really got off first base yet!

I hope the list of charges rather than 'statements' is good enough in court? I guess so?..

(The case that lost (the one and only) I think lost because of lack of proofs? Is this right? If this is true I don't like the way the tv news misses these vital facts ...to soothe our nerves of course-not! Mse Martin got a good mention though, they just squeezed him in, saying 'well he's the one who started all this really!'. Move over Billy the Kid! Martin's got his guns blazing and his gang close behind...yeeha!)

Hi forgot to add that I have sent a letter threatening mcol and they have untill the 14th June to reply, do I phone them and have a word with them or just wait the 14 days then procced with the mcol ???

I'm not experienced with this issue.. but I would assume that it includes the total (i.e. charges and the interest total).

Dunno where you go though if not to small claims. Someone will know around here no doubt.
