I called customer relations yesterday to complain. Clearly my case wasn't 'evaluated' at all. It's all utter rubbish to put the odd person off. The woman said they would 'revaluate' and I'll hear within 8 weeks. I said they have 2 weeks and I've also sent the 2nd letter off today. She said 'to be honest sending a letter giving 2 weeks notice is pointless as we won't get to it in time'. I reminded her that Halifax sent a response to my last letter the same day they received it. She went quiet.

Oh and if anyone tried to call them money and was kept on hold...they weren't in. 'Someone forgot to put the out of office message on'. But if you send your phone bill to them they will refund...I'm just adding it onto the costs.

These utter morons don't have a chance against me :T

    Hi Guys

Any idea how long a reasonable time to get statements out from Halifax might be?

I sent a letter with my £10 (which was cashed) however havent had so much as an acknowledgement....

Can Customer Services order statements over the telephone? Has anyone had them do this?

    Thanks

well, further to my post yesterday, I rang Halifax on the 0845 number to find out what was happening.

The robot on the other end said they had received my letter stating that I was not happy with their original outcome and he said that my case was now being re-evaluated and the next stage would be that I would receive an offer letter. I asked him about the timescale. He said they have 8 weeks from the date they receive my letter stating I was not happy with their original letter which was 8th May. So 3 weeks down, 5 weeks to go.

I am prepared at the moment to give them this time rather than go immediately to MCOL. I will wait and see what happens.

Well, I originally wrote for my statements back on 4th April. I had no response at all, so went into my local branch beginning of May and they gave me a list of charges there and then. Then yesterday I got home and low and behold was a letter from halifax with the same list of charges! They said that they dont charge for these anymore and had cancelled my cheque. If I was you either ring them and find out what is going on or visit your local branch when you can. Hope this helps. tjclilac

I got mine within a week of phoning halifax, say you want your statements. They may ask you to ring another number, refuse to do that. You'll be kept on hold forever.

Or try lying. My friend said she needed hers to get a mortage and they were delivered within a few days.
  • did any of you get a letter saying that the charges were justified and did any of you appeal at all?

I asked Halifax to re-investigate my claim and told there could be upto a 4 week wait.

    I got a claim in for £5k
