I GOT A RESULT[/B]
Stick in there, and phone them... I got offered a goodwill getsture of £132 on Sat when I was claiming £234 (plus interest) I phoned them up today (bloody bank hol!!) spoke to a guy who took my details and spoke to me for all of 5 mins. Went off to work thinking that they wouldn't get back to me and were gonna drag their heels a bit, to my surprise I got a call at 6.50 from a nice lady and I explained that I appreciated the goodwill gesture but if I went to court I would get the full amount plus interest and court costs and that if they would pay the £234 then I would consider the matter settled.
I'm now awaiting a letter confirming this, which should be sent out tomorrow and the money should be in my account within the next 14 days :j
Well done... the money dose not take long as I found out ... I had confirmation letter and 5 days later yay money !:TIm not really mad...0 -

I called them after receiving my goodwill gesture of £162, and politely told them I would be happy with a figure nearer my claim to which they doubled the offer which I accepted ... £324 will be in the bank within the week ...(well £162 has been already deposited ) ....
well done to you and good luck ! :T

Hi All great news, claimed £1160 from HBOS, started the claim in Jan by requesting statements, went through the template letters process, I eventually had a summons served on the bank, the return date for court is in a few days, but surprise surprise the money appeared in my account today, so hang on in there everyone and the right result should come your way.

Ring the number that is printed at the top of the letter and tell them that you are not happy with their decision and that you would like your case to be re-evaluated by a manager. Hopefully you should get a reply within a couple of weeks, I did:j !
I cant find the letter does anyone have the phone number? LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
I posted yesterday that Halifax offered me a shade over £900 versus my claim just over £3000. I am heartened by the stories in the last 24 hours on this thread. Tomorrow I too shall call up and attempt to clarify my position with their staff; i.e. I would be more pleased to receive all of my money rather than 30% of what they think I want!0

Just got another reply from the same person at the Halifax with the rest of the charges from 2003 to 2007 but the problem is its only a list with charges and dates not my statements as requested and the person doesnt have a contact number (what a suprise)
So in theory they might have missed something and i have no way of checking
Has anyone else been sent the sheet of A4 with only dates and charges listed ?
Is it worth still trying to get the proper statements ?
I had a reply back from the FSA eventually saying that they would include my complaint in the May batch to the Halifax will this prompt them to send the statements correctly ?
hi, ok
a long one but will try and make short!
requested statments back in feb sent £10, heard nothing for 4 weeks so called the telephone banking number and said what i had done and if there was a record of the letter and cheque, the nice lady said there was neither and there and then canceled the cheque and ordered the statments for me at no charge. Once recieved i sent a letter requesting charges be returned, after 8 weeks got a letter stating the usual stuff "get lost" i wan't going to get lost and found a number that worked and they are reviewing the case, i have told them they only have 14 days then i will see them in court!
in between the 8 weeks wait and there 1st decision i received the same a s you a list of dates and charges i added all these up and they actually where higher than i had worked out!
dont know if this help
Goodl luck to you all

Ok guys & gals......Gone through all the usual procedures and ended up putting Halifax in Court for over $2k.
Got no response from them and they didnt acknowledge MCOL either so now I have Judgement by Default. Thing is when I spoke to MCOL they said that if baliffs need to go in I need a non PO Box address..........does anyone know the proper address in Leeds??
Also has anyone got to this stage of Judgement by Default and if so how do I get my money??
Hope you will all be there to watch me send Baliffs in if need be!!!0 -
Help!
I wonder if anyone can offer any advice. I have followed Martins process up to the Court stage. The Bank has acknowldeged the claim and have until 11th June to respond. Yet I get a letter this morning saying the charges are fair yet it makes no mention of the court case. Has this happened the anyone who then got the charges refuneded!
Many thanks,
