Wish me luck. My statements arrived this morning...all 102 pages of them so I'm about to send off a letter by recored delivery, incase it gets 'lost' in the post, for £1,412.93

(If you call Halifax and ask for the statements they charge you £5 and they arrive within 5 working days..much quicker and charper than sending off a cheque for £10 in the post and it getting passed round departments)

I agree with you. Rang last wednesday for one lot of statements as I had all the others and they arrived today in 11 separate envelopes. £5.00 for the charge.

I have just calculated all the charges and the total is £1,674.00 for 4 1/2 years. ( much more than I thought ) As soon as the other half is home from work I am off to the post office , get the letter recorded to my local branch and hopefully will hear something within the next couple of days. ( 14 days on the letter ).

I just hope they won't push it to one side and to say , "Contact the financial ombudsmen ".

    Wish me luck

Just received my second lot of statements ... (other account...letters already been sent)
Anyway...been going through the statements.....and most charges are at the end of the month...so statements are quick to check....but have just noticed that from 2004....the charges are applied at various times through out the month.....
So be careful not to miss any charges.

    Very sad....but I'm getting excited everytime I see a charge !
To think I use to hide the statements from my hubby...not good really..

But what I've noticed is they follow a pattern...the more charges we got inpacted the following month..hence more charges....
Then we'd get a few months where we were ok....and then it would start again.

    Good luck everyone !
    Have lots more ‘Pending’
    But total money I’ve received from Cashback Sites by performing 'Daily Clicks' is ;
    APRIL 2007 - JAN 2008 = £2,800:money:

But not sure what to do! They have sent me a long letter making sure I understand its my fault and that the cgharges are justified, then as a gesture of goodwill they offer me £1,587,00 against a claim of £2,162,00.

Just want some advise really as I dont know how to approach this. The money would pay a few bills so Im tempted, but that means they get to keep £575,00 of my money.

all advise and thoughts are most welcome

    Thanks guys

which stage were you at? was this after sending the first letter only or did you get to filing a claim at the small claims court?

    Hi misskitty
The 14 days from sending the first letter were up on the 29th December so I made sure they got the second letter on that date. The letter I have recived today is dated the 29th December also so they didnt hang around! I also recived two phone calls on that day, the mrs said it was someone offering some sort of finance offer but they didnt state what it was but in the letter they state they tried to contact me by phone about the offer

    Hi all

Does anyone know how long it took their local branch to receive the 1st letter then send off to the relevant department before you had a reply. Are you looking at a couple of days.

I sent mine yesterday, recorded delivery and to be honest I keep thinking about it. What if they turn it down?? No "gesture of goodwill" ?? Offering less than I have stated... So many things going round in my mind.

Have others felt the same ??

I also sent my 1st letter yesterday to my local branch by recorded delivery for nearly £1,500 and I'm now starting to stress a little as to what happens if they turn it down or offer me less and I eventually have to start the small claims court proceedings to which they defend.

and you get back £1,587 that you didn't think you would see again. Up to you I'm afraid if you want to carry on or take the money.

You can reply and say you will accept this money in partial repayment but will carry on to court for the remainder.
