I hope this keeps everyones spirits going.

I got a full refund back. :j It was paid into my account in 2 installments. I didn't go down the court route as I live in Scotland and claiming £6405. So threatened with the FOS and from recieving my statements to full offer it took 6 weeks.

Stick in there everyone, They will pay out in the end.

Today Halifax acknowledged my claim giving them till the 11th of June to do what ever they are going to do…. Sadly I don’t think refunding my money is the thing they are going to do & am sure they will do a few more tricks to drag the process out & waste my time.

Fingers crossed it will all be worth it??
  • I have followed Martin's proceedure exactly and used all the template letters. The only time I had to improvise was when I gave them 14 days to pay up and they told me they would need 40 days to fully investigate my concerns. I wrote back saying 14 days before I commence court proceedings. I did start court proceedings and they informed the court that they intended to defend their possition, however just less than 3 weeks later I have recieved a full refund including the court fees paid directly into my bank account! From start to finish it has taken only 3 months and they have not closed my account.
    A fantastic result I think!

I filed on line on 24th April and it was deemed to have been served on 29th April. Halifax acknowledged on 1st May ticking the box that they intended to defend all of this claim, this gave them 28 days to enter a defence. Today 21st I have recieved a full refund. So from date of service to refund of money was 22 days!

    Afternoon folks,

Iv just had the "charges have been correctly applied" letter and have a few questions. Im assuming that this is the standard letter people have been mentioning? Also, mine is 2 pages long which explains: their investigation, why i have been charged, how they can help and the outcome. is this still the standard letter?

Hope so as planning on court action now and need ti know im in with a shout of winning before i splash out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Folks

I had a dream last nite that I went to my local Halifax cashpoint in the early hours of the morning. I noticed that all the staff were already in work very early!! It turns out that they had been told to refund everybody all their money & they handed me my cheque there and then...! & then I lost it..& then I woke up....:o
    Happy Monday everyone:j

You're very veruy likely to get your money back but no one can promise that unfortunatly.

But yes, that is there standard letter, check Martin Lewis' sticky. They are apparently sending it out to everyone. Call them and hopefully you'll get an offer!!
