halifax bank charges (merged)

I have done the first letter to the halifax, requesting charge information for my bank account and credit cards.
It took them 7weeks to send the statements and only just received them today after we sent the "reminder" letter last week.
They have only sent the bank account statements though, and there is nothing for the credit card ones.
Should i have sent two separate letters one to bank accounts and then to credit cards or should it all be done at the same location?
Also what do i do next? and what about interest i dont understand it?If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -
Hi
My kind friend sent me a link to this site and after much deliberating decided to actually send for my statements - after i noticed they had charged me three times in one day and a couple of other times during the same month making a total £273 in one month, along with charges for them taking me overdrawn. No wonder I couldn't work out where all my money had gone for the month.
Well on monday the 40 days are up and I've still not heard anything! I just wondered wether or not this was a regular occurance with Halifax and if I dont get them do I stand my ground and report them?
Just worried as I don't normally cause a fuss - but I think at £39 a charge is excessive and money I just can't afford!
I try to manage my account the best I can but with two small children and a full time job - sometimes things just get past you!
Any help I would be extremelly grateful!0 -

Sorry tried to search for the answer but cant find it!!
Halifax (credit Card) have written back to me saying they regret to advise they are unable to refund the charges in question as they were applied to my account as per my original agreement.
What do I do now??? Please help xx
this is what i had today also.....if u check back the last few of my reply's will help you out
basically phone them and say ur not accepting it and they will look into it
this is a stall tactic to try and put some off claiming0 -

I too had the same thing, wrote off for statements and never received them.
I then visited my local branch, after a brief chat with assistant, she got the list of charges emailed through and I walked out with the list. Suggest you try the same thing, you've got nothing to lose and I hate to say it, but time may be running out for us claiming so its worth a try, good luck.0 -

This is the address I have been using too and I have received a very quick response (within 3 days). I also have sent mine by Recorded Delivery.
I am on letter number 2 now. hopefully will receive an offer but we wait and see.
Good luck0 -
you should post to your own local branch and then they will post it on to head office. Have they cashed your check yet?
Ive been waiting six weeks now for a reply and still nothing.
I phoned them today and they told me it will take btween 6-8 weeks to send me my statements
Forget writing, visit your local branch and talk to an assistant. Explain what you have done and havent heard anything etc.etc. and hopefully they can give you the details you require. It doesnt cost anything and you've got nothing to lose. It worked for me. The list was emailed down from HO within a couple of minutes.

Today I have had a letter from the Halifax offereing me 385.50 my acutal charges for the account were 700 including the most recent charges. They have not said anything about my other account which the charges are 644.00
They have given me a number to contact if I do not wish to accept there offer.
I did start a county court caim yesterday but can stop it without any charge to me as I am on benefit.
Is it worth ringing them and trying to neoigate a higer figure.0 -
