thats what i got today and i phoned them they told me i would get a new letter in the post
i will see what this letter says b4 i decide if i go for my original offer or not through mcol
try it, give them a call and see what they say
best thing is being polite as they r getting these calls all day and prob get hundreds of people shouting at them all day
Just been on the phone to as suggested and above and got through to the customer relations dept and explained Iwasnt happy with the letter , she was helpful and said she would pass on my message to another department and they will be in touch with me within 8 weeks ...does this sound right ? I ve had no offer as yet ..Im not really mad...0 -
basically they put a stall tactic on us thinking we would withdraw our claim
but we will receive the letter hopefully saying they are going to investigate our claim and possibly even an offer since we argued it earlier on that most
i will keep you posted on how i get on0 -
likewise... thats 1 down 2 accounts to go...
didnt realise I was such a valued customer ....there words not mine ...Im not really mad...0 -
my current account and cardcash account statements are still "in the post"
i sent my letter off back in march and i got a letter saying there was no charge at this time and would be sent out the statements
then following month i got half of my statements for my current account - after complaining i got a letter saying they are now in a position to send me out a list of charges - i got the same half of my charges for my current account and nothing what so ever for my cardcash
i phoned them up right away and was told i still had to give them 40 working days to post this out to me.... i said how unhappy i was the fact i got the same portion on statements aswell as charges on one account when it could have been more economical to send it all on one sheet!
anyway need to wait till i get the rest for those accounts b4 i can claim
my partner on the other hand is due his amount end of the month! the deadline is then
even thou we did our claims both at once just shows u halifax dont operate the same policy all over just depends on who you get and your luck!!!0 -
It is amazing the amount of different ways halifax are treating people , there are no set ways to deal with our complaints .. every claim is different ..and according to a letter recivied 11th april Im due another letter before the 16th of May for another account ...better get there skates on ...Im not really mad...0

ive had nothing but problems but seems the fact my partner was bank of scotland is prob summit to do with it
because i also claimed for my mother in law and she is due hers at the end of the month 2
anway it doesnt matter how long i wait aslong as i get it
ive wait all this time im sure another few weeks wont kill me
and if i wait longer i will charge more interest lol0 -
Hi,
Just wondering if you could help me on a couple of things, it may have already been answered, but to be honest im not going to read 160 pages, lol.
I have recently received my statements for 2 accounts with the Halifax, totalling to £1798 (£438 on 1 account and £1360 on the other), now what is easiest? sending off claim of £1798 or doing it as 2 separate claims?
Also should I only add interest IF I go to court?and if I don't go to court can I still claim interest or not.
And I send my statements to my local bank don't I?
Think that's all I want to know for now.
Many Thanks
Andy0 -
personally if that was me i would send off 2 seperate claims WITH interest already included, and see what they offer you
if after that your not happy then you could claim interest later at court
also do not send the 2nd letter to your bank
tell me who your are with ie halifax or bank of scotland and are you in scotland or england and i will try and find the best address for you so it doesnt get delayed0 -
oh right thanks.
Im with Halifax in England.
My local branch is Yate (Bristol) if any help.
cheers,
IM off lunch now, so will be back on about 5.30pm cheers for your help0 -
