you should post to your own local branch and then they will post it on to head office. Have they cashed your check yet?

Thats strange Halifax told me they had sent out a letter to two weeks after recieving mine now I have to wait another two weeks to recieve the stsement of costs.0 -
The Information Commissioner does allow them 40 days, from the date they receive the request, to provide the information. If you didn't send your request by Recorded Delivery and don't know exactly when they got it, I would add 5 days from the date you sent it. This is what the court will do when they serve your claim, so no-one can say it is unreasonable. If you haven't received your statements by then, report them to the Information Commissioner.
However, I don't know where you got the idea from that there was an 8 week deadline on your claim - it takes as long as it takes. You allow the bank 14 days to reply to your letters, and when it gets to the court stage, the timescales are set by the court. The banks, of course, will use every trick in the book to delay the inevitable. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0
