  • personally i havent got that far yet,but i have read some posts about people in that situation and i think its ur own discrection, i know there is a limit to what u can claim esp in scotland i think the small claims court is 750 so if both were above that you would need to do it seperately

Can somebody please tell me which Halifax address I should use to post my letter to? I have used my local branch but received nothing.
  • Can any one help me???
Sorry tried to search for the answer but cant find it!!
Halifax (credit Card) have written back to me saying they regret to advise they are unable to refund the charges in question as they were applied to my account as per my original agreement.

What do I do now??? Please help xx

you should post to your own local branch and then they will post it on to head office. Have they cashed your check yet?

The Information Commissioner does allow them 40 days, from the date they receive the request, to provide the information. If you didn't send your request by Recorded Delivery and don't know exactly when they got it, I would add 5 days from the date you sent it. This is what the court will do when they serve your claim, so no-one can say it is unreasonable. If you haven't received your statements by then, report them to the Information Commissioner.

However, I don't know where you got the idea from that there was an 8 week deadline on your claim - it takes as long as it takes. You allow the bank 14 days to reply to your letters, and when it gets to the court stage, the timescales are set by the court. The banks, of course, will use every trick in the book to delay the inevitable.
