    Hi Guys/Gals

Got my statements after waiting the 40 days for nothing then calling up.

Wrote letter asking for charges back and got the standard blah blah 8 weeks letter.

Wrote the second 14 days or court action letter which is due to expire tomorrow. Decided to call them today to see if they wanted to make an offer before I issue the proceedings tomorrow and got the usual we got 8 weeks response, issue proceedings if you like.

Firstly wanted to know which address should I put on the Court form.

Also am looking for a quick settlement as I am going away for 6 months on 20th June and could do with taking the money with me(£2600). If I issue the proceedings will this delay the payout/offer or will they still revert back to the 8 weeks from the date of my original letter?? Anyone got any ideas on how to get a quick payout??

    Any help appreciated.

I'm sedning off my next letter this afternoon. I'm really nervous. Any one got any success stories? I'm tempted to ring the number on the letter but i'm sick of getting knocked back. Thier not very helpful.

    Hello all

    My story so far….

Wrote to Halifax requesting charges back on the 15th March & got the standard 4 week letter back.
After 4 weeks no money just an another letter saying we will sort out within 8 weeks.
After 6 weeks I sent the LBA giving them 2 weeks to respond.
After 8 weeks got a letter from Halifax refusing to payout.
Phoned the number on the letter to try and discuss but was told it was my fault for incurring charges and there are no laws to stop them charging……
The options were take them to court or let them have another look which would take another 6 weeks.

Needless to say I have started the claim using Money Claim on Line.

Has any one has got this far?? Does any one have any words of wisdom?? Better yet has any one got any success stories…??
Forgot to mention, claim is for £4897.00

Spare a thought for my friend who wrote to the Halifax on 26 Feb asking for 6 years worth of statements. They cashed her cheque and wrote to her advising that she would have the information after 42 days. It is now 72 days and she is still waiting. They have sent her a list of 3 years worth of charges but nothing else. She has phoned and been promised call backs, she has written again. She has forwarded the information to the commissioner person to complain. She is fuming but seemingly powerless. She so needs the money. Any further advice?? Has anyone else had the same problem?? Please give me some hope I can pass on...
