Can anyone advise what to do next please? I sent a letter and £10 cheque for statements for my husbands savings account as they cocked up a couple of years ago (long story won't bore you) and hadn't received them up till last week. I sent them another letter stating that it was my right to have these statements and as it was over 40 days I would be writing to the ombudsman. Does anyone ahve any idea where I get the address from?We finally did it! Debt free 28/6/10 :T  :T :beer:0

To be fair though save yourself time and money go into your local branch and they will send the statements out. I got mine in seven days and didn't cost a penny this way. Got a response from the request I made in December yesterday so that should give you an indication that its best to go into the branch for your statements0 -

I sent a cheque for £10 with a request for six years back statments on the
27th of Feb. I recived a reply in two days returning my cheque and a note that they were taking £5 out of my account, and i will recieve the statments within 28 days from the date on the letter.
As yet the statments have not arrived i have rang them three times and even threatened to report them to the imformation commisioner, but all i get is a profound apollogy and a promise that they will be sent shortly.
Has anybody else had sutch a long wait ?.0 -

Afraid so I originally ordered mine in December got them yesterday.
I think reaper and myself are on a personal mission now to state that just go to your local branch they really are helpful and I got my statements seven days later and no charge.
Best of Luck0
