Thanks.
i would start mcol get your extra interest and fees back
dont be scared go for it will cost you max 120 pounds but worth it
never give the bank extra time you r the one claiming you make the bank bow to your timescales dont sit back and wait strike while the iron is hot!!!!! start mcol if you have sent the letter from step 4 telling halifax if you have not received satisfactory response within 14 days you ll commence court proceddings
its important you do it properly and step by step good luck0 -

Got a reply to the first letter today, the refund me in 14 days one. reply advises that they will deal with my complaint no later than 24th May! Sod that. Now that they have replied, am i able to send the letter which threatens them with court unless they pay me back withing 14 further days?
I know this will have been asked a thousand times so i apologise in advance.
Many Thanks0 -

i sent one to head office and one to local branch and got them today sent for them on 28th feb 2007. But i complained at branch i hadnt heard anything after 3 weeks so they contacted head office for me and got them emailed to branch within 5 mins, im at court stage now but if waited the 40 days ill just be putting in the claims request in after adding them up lol
So try and get friendly with staff at local branch and they might queue jump like me hehe and get them straight away
but it sounds like they are playing hard to get and pay up at the moment
Further to my post of yesterday, saying that I had not yet received statements having sent letter on 2nd April with cheque, well today I phoned up Halifax on their 08457 203040 number to find out where my letter and cheque had gone.
Gemma in banking said that she couldnt find it anywhere on the system - she said as I had sent it to my branch they would have just forwarded it on to them anyway but no sign of it on system. Cheque not been cashed either. I asked whether I should send another one in or should I go into my local branch. She then said that she could cancel my cheque in case it had got lost and she could let me have a list of charges over the last 6 years for no charge and send it out to me!! I said yes please took her details and she said she would do it today. Hopefully I will get this list in next few days - will keep you posted.0 -

Not at this stage no, If however i do have to take legal action ill add it on then. to be honest, i could do with quick settlement so leaving this of as a bartering tool. If they settle quickly, i wont claim interest. if not, ill whack it all on there.0
