    Hi,

I wrote to my local branch asking for statements going back 5 years, but have only received the last 3 years. I have read on here that its something to do with being merged with halifax.
Do i need to call them or write to them asking for the first 2 years of statements or will they appear soon??

Once i receive all my statments, where is the best place to send the first letter asking for my charges back, my local branch?
I would hate to send the letter to the wrong place.

    Thanks!!

    Help please ...
i am having a nightmare rang Halifax today i was told i had to wait my turn for my complaint to be sorted out...and it willtake 8 weeks..i advised my next step would be to go via small claims court i was informed to go ahead they had over 15,000 people to deal with ...i told them they would not wait 8 weeks if i owed them the money..i am so pixxed off with the HALIFAX ...i am just a little worried to go to the next step as i have 2 other claims going via MCOL one for Monument credit card, Lloyds TSB bank for charges, shall await to see the result of the others first..?

Have they really got 15,000 complaints to deal with?

I see this as another ploy to put you off, stick to your timescales.

I know it seems like spinning plates as I have 3 claims going on through MCOL.

    Good luck

I have just gone past the second stage with halifax, I sent the first letter on january 2nd but was busy so didnt get to send the second letter until the middle of march. I got a response off the second letter saying that they needed 8 weeks to investigate hahaha yeah whatever so I rang up and said 8 weeks well you have had the first for 10 weeks so you've had plenty of time. They claimed they hadnt recieved the first letter so I siad well thats funny I have a printed signature from someone at halifax signing to say they have recieved it.

She then went on to say that she wanted me to resend the first letter I siad no thanks not my mistake, anyway I had just filled out the court forms in full online whilst i was on hold for 15 minutes so I pressed submit instead. Was a whole lot easier than resending hehehe

Halifax are trying every tatic under the sun to delay people dont let them do it.

what im going to do is write my own letter of acceptance clearly stating that if the money hasnt reached me by a set date then I will be proceeding to court. Seems a whole lot easier to me and I wont sign their copy as they will use it in court to say I have already accepted an offer.
