They started off charging £28 then it went up to £30 and in the last year or so it has gone up to £39. Hope this helps.0

hi there,
when i state the amount i want to claim back, do i need to have taken away the £12, that is the max they are allowed to charge me, from each charge? so rather than asking for 10 lots of £39 im asking for 10 lots of £27?0 -
hi there
i posted earlier in the week as halifax had said that they hadnt received my cheque or any correspondance from me, anyway in the post this morning i had a letter stating they had 40 days to reply so i should get a reply no later than the 15.1.07, they stated that, has anyone else had a letter when they said they would reply by?
many thanks

I phoned the Halifax for my statements and received them within seven working days so it may be worth trying this first rather than waiting up to 40 days. Also they only charged £5 for the statements!0

Hi Guys
I sent my first letter with charges listed on friday. I had a letter today saying they acknowledge my complaint and I will find an enclosed leaflet which will explain how they handle my complaint (no leaflet enclosed) oh, and a phone number if I want to contact them!
Is this similar to your encounter? Im starting to get sick sensations in my guts about this and am worrying all night when I should be sleeping. Could you give advice as what I should do now?
Thanks again0 -
i think im being really paranoid, but i got nearly 6 years worth of statements from halifax a couple of weeks ago and Im having trouble finding ANY charges.
I know FACT ive been charges at least 4 times (not a lot i know, but still wort ha go), but I cant find any.
Has anyone else had this trouble? Could I ask The Halifax for copies of all the letters sent to me as well (ive already paid £5 for my copy statements)?
Getting really frustrated :huh:0 -
