As I understand it you'll find the people there will be very helpful and you can bring the forms home and spend the w/end filling them in and file them on Monday.

So what are you doing still on here
Please ask the court people while you are there about putting it through as one claim rather than two.0 -
Hi,
I sent a letter from the template requesting statements from the last 5 years.
Today i received a letter from hbos. The letter reads:
In accordance with your instructions i can confirm i have requested copy statements relating to the past 5 years which will be forwarded to you nder seperate cover.
The bank is under no statutory obligation to record information relating to specific manual transactions and therefor i am unable to comply with your request. I confirm that i have enclosed your £10 cheque.
What does this mean??
Are the just sending me print off's instead off my acual statments and why are they sending me back my cheque!?
I thought that i had to pay for the stamements.
I sent the letter to my local branch, should i send it or have sent it to the main branch or data protection branch?
Should i send the letter elsewhere or send them a follow up letter?? as i dont feel that i am going to receive the proper statements.
I feel a bit confused as new to this.
Any ideas or suggestion would be appreciated
Thanks0 -

Hi there, I got the same letter back, I think it means basically that they don't have to tell you your charges, it is up to you to work them out, I received my statements after about 42 days, and you will receive proper ones, there are lots of people to ask advise from, just stick in there.:) Also it looks like they are giving your money back and statements for freeBORN TO RIDE - FORCED TO DRIVE

halkifax - missing statement entries
CAn anyone advise?
Today I received my last 6 years statements in the post from halifax. However, i noticed that between the dates of august 2002 - june 2004 there were no entries. For that period it was shown as ACCOUNT RENEWED with two entries a debit of 800.63 and a credit of 338.35 (a missing 462.28).
Has anyone else experienced this. Is it a deliberate ploy to hide some of my bank charges from me, and a delying tactic?
I remember quite clearly that was a very bad time for me and i know i had a lot of charges because halifax re-possessed my house during that period (May 2004)
should i just estimate what i think the charges are. I phoned to complain and the nice girl said she would order some more statements and then promptly cut me off.0 -

If the 40 days are not up, there could be some more information to come under seperate cover. You should not estimate the charges, but confirm with the bank exactly what happened in this period.0 -

many thanks ..

Well, I just called Halifax to see what the progress was on my statement request as we haven't even had an acknowledgment. The woman at Customer Services said they had no letter from me. I told them they absolutely had recieved the letter and it had been signed for on 1st March. She tried to say the just because it had been signed for doesn't mean they have recieved it. She then said that the address I has sent it to was wrong (Trinity Road) and it needed to go to somewhere called Nexus (no idea who they are) and that they simply forward it one, where it is scanned in. As there is no information on the system, it hasn't been scanned therefore is deemed as not recieved.
She has ordered them for me but says they will take 3-4 weeks from now. That means it will have taken well over the 40 days. What do I do? Do I sit and wait or is this the sort of thing that the Ombudsman deals with?
Also called about the credit card letter that was signed for the same day but sent to the Dunfermline address - they are looking for that one!!!
Any advice?0 -
Hi
We have recieved a letter from court today to say that the Halifax are putting in a full defence to our court claim. I know this may sound silly, but what does this mean for us? have we lost? or are they just buying more time for themselves. Im really worried that we will be the only people to fail to win!0
