Help! I'm at day 14 of step 3 and still no reply to letter which was sent on the 12th march recorded delivery. I have tried track and trace on line but cannot get a reply so rang royal mail who said that it had not been signed for. Not sure if to ring Halifax or just go to step 4. Getting a bit dispondant at the moment can anyone advise. thanks.0

Been with them 20 years, finally had enough in jan this year when they charged me £850 in 10 days without even sending me a letter so decided to do what the rest of you are.
Sent the first letter waited 40 days and nothing rang them and guess what they never recieved the letter, yes right, after getting pushed via 4 different departments finally got them to say they would send them out, and lo and behold 5 days later i recieved some post 300 PLUS F***IN LETTERS, the petty sob's have put every individual page in a seperate envelope.
Looks like im going to be busy for the next few days, will let you know how its going.0 -

If you did not send your letter direct to Customer Relations, it is probable like mine halifax have redirected it on to them. Why dont you give Customer Relations a call 0845 603 7923 they will advise if your letter has been received and logged onto their system. Good Luck0 -
I tried to push this through to judgment by default today and it told me that they had 28 days from when it was served so I couldn't do it yet, so I'm a little bit confused *scratches head*My moneyclaim online against Halifax/Bank of Scotland was deemed to have been served from the "27th February", they acknowledged and it says they have 28 days from the date it was served, so what day would this work out to?
I'm guessing the 28th March (tomorrow) or can I put this through today? Does the day the papers are served count as one of those days or? Would appreciate any help you can give

I am in the process of trying to claim back £950 from Halifax. Tried the first 2 template letters giving them 14 days on each to reply with a settlement and on both occasions they asked for more time. the reply to the second letter which i received over the weekend said they would respond no later than 28th April. So yesterday I started court proceedings against them. I will let you all know how it goes and the outcome. hopefully a good one.0

I got an offer today from Halifax of less than half the basic amount I was claiming (not including stat interest).
I was about to log a claim on MCOL but I just noticed that there was a typo in my interest spreadsheet where one claim was logged as 2003 whereas in fact it was in 2006. This has now reduced the interest I am claiming and means that the last 2 letters I have sent them quotes the incorrect amount of interest.
Now I am not sure what to do - I dont want to end up in a weaker position if it goes to court because my documentation was incorrect.
Can anyone please advise?:heart2: Cookiepops :heart2:0 -
afternoon folks;
Heres on for you. Just called the charming Halifax to make sure they recieved my statement request as was sent with ten pound cheque on 8th and signed for on 9th. Bank advised never received and no notes on any file. asked how long back was requesting statements so i said 6 yrs. "oh, your claiming your money back are you?" was her reply. I confirmed i was looking into this. She then said, and this is the strange bit, that instead of sending my statements, they will look thru my records, work out how much i have paid and send me a letter confirming how much I am owed. she also asked if i had any idea how much this is likely to be which i dont. she said its fine and they will let me know.
Now, im all for their co-operation but have not heard of this before. iv agreed to let them do this but am also going to my branch on satuarday to again request the statements. Surely my statement amounts will be the same figure they come up with and they wouldnt try to pull the wool over my eyes?????
has any one else been told this ? please let me know what you think as this sounds strange to me.
Ill keep you all informed0 -
