we have took our court papers in today, to claim 1727.54 from the Halifax. They told us we were due a reply by the 16th March, my husband phoned today and was told that the letter is asking for another four weeks to investigate. Its ridiculous. why are some people being pais out without any hassle? The Halifax say they have a system in place to pay out claims in date order. What a load of B@$£%£".0

What letter should you send if you already have your statements from a new account , Ive been keeping them as its only been open since september but over Christmas we went a little off track and were penalised with some hefty charges .. nearly £300 worth . should I just send the 2nd letter or the 1st ....
thanks for any advice ..Degs
Miz I have 3 accounts with them and was only going to claim for the oldest 2 but realised as Ive said above £300 in just over a month bit of a joke , but the others have been delivered and signed for on the 12th Feb at Trinity house and next weekend is the 40th day so heres hoping .. .DegsIm not really mad...0 -

i'm pretty sure you just send the 14 day one reclaiming the full amount as you already have your statements and so dont need them sending out again.
its a good move keeping them. After all this i'm DEF keeping all mine from now on.0 -
My god after the 8 weeks was up today and a phone call to them this morning which i was told it was still ongoing. I receive an email ( as i requested to be contacted by email as in france) to say they are settling my claim in full £370. Just waiting for it to be paid straight into account. I have had such hassle from them but now its finally over after 8 weeks. Good luck everyone0

Hiya
I have literally just done this
If you go to the calculator on the MSE website you add the details of each charge individually (date and value) and it calculates the interest for you - really easy!

Back off the phone and I gave the chap my account number and he said they couldnt tell if they had been ordered yet but said it may be some time next week 40 days is then up ..
As you see from my earlier posts I was told that it was 40 days from when the cheque was cashed which we all know is a load of c**p. I sent them a 2nd letter last Thursday by Special Delivery (which they recieved on the Friday) telling them they must reply by the 27th March. I sent my original letter to them on 14th Feb I havent even had an agknowlegement from them all I know is that they cashed the cheque some 19 days after I sent the letter. Im contemplating sending them a letter before the 40 days is up to remind them that the clock is ticking, is there a templte on here for that ??
Thanks0
