Don't leap on the judgement button
It may only serve to stall your claim longer....send a 7 day - you havent entered a defence for my claim, i'll ask for judgement in 7 days if you dont get your defence in, letter .... then if they do attempt a set aside after you file for default judgement you may find the judge disallows the set aside

The letter was read out and i was told that my complaint for charges was still being investigated and that if i was unhappy go and complain to the financial ombudsman. I feel like pulling my hair out my sister had her claim for over £3000 settled within 3 weeks ( all after my claim had been submitted i have to add). My claim for £370 takes over 8 weeks where is the justice in this.
Any advice please
I received a letter from them yesterday sayin that they have 8 weeks to look into my complaint... so does this mean I have to wait the 8 weeks? and is that as of yesterdays date when the letter arrived? They owe me £750 so im deffo not going to give up on it. Just want to know if I wait the 8 weeks and then what happens next?Financially Confused:o

NO dont wait 8 weeks......send your next letter on day 15 from your first letter.
ALWAYS ALWAYS Stick to YOUR timescalesLegalBeagles0 -
OHHH NOOO I too have posted my Letter and Schedule of Charges to Trinity House address, as earlier posts stated this is correct address, however, I posted 12th March Recorded Delivery and tracked today and still not received.
Should I post again to this Customer Relations address with my earlier date on (12th March) or will I have to change the address, or maybe Trinity House will forward to Customer Relations, HELPP! Every day counts. Great if could have these charges back in time for my sons wedding in Cyprus!!
Thank you for all the help on here, its so informative.
I have just come off the phone from Customer Relations, and they told me, I was not on their system yet, and I should send it again but to Customer Relations address to be on the safe side, so I have done that keeping my earlier date on the letter, with a note on top of the letter in RED to say it was sent earlier to Trinity House and gave Recorded Delivery reference etc. Hope this helps someone else.
Will keep you updated.0 -

According to Halifax Customer Relations, Trinity House DO pass over any post they receive but this can delay things by a few days. It's up to you but keep on with the recorded delivery. I sent my last letter to both my local branch, Trinity House and now a copy to Customer Relations. These people will not be getting the better of me, this is our year guys! :TWe will win this! we will!.... and we did! :j0 -
 Is it just me or is the Halifax totally stalling on people and their claims? I am reading that other people from different banks are having their claims dealt with and monies refunded within 3 weeks? It's just so unfair, or is it just typical of our luck? Feeling downheartened by the whole thing todayWe will win this! we will!.... and we did! :j0

You need to read Martin's article and follow the steps in that and you'll get the next template letter you need in the article. The letter you received is their standard letter and they don't "legally" have to keep you waiting 8 weeks.
