Really annoyed...hubby phoned Halifax today to check they had received our recorded delivery letter and they say that they have not. Apparantly we sent it to the wrong address??!! We sent it to the Trinity House address and I assumed this was correct.
Can anyone help with the correct address and I will have to send yet another letter to them to make doubly sure they receive it!:mad:0 -

Hi
Well, took the advice on this site and files a claim with MCOL to reclaim £995 from HBOS for my BOS Business Account, went 14 days without response (plus 6 days for service), and the bank did not acknowledge or file a defence, so got summary judgement and issued a warrant. Halifax County Court will be executing outstanding warrants for HBOS by the 23rd March - and the clerk stated they had a few to issue when they get the visit. I should hear in about 2 to 3 weeks!!
Anyone else in a similar situation?
Regards

Hi there, I just double checked all the sheets. They seem to have tried to shrink Aug 2004 - present into 11 sheets. It looks like everything is there, but can't be 100% sure. I called them and they said anything pre 2004 is archived and may take longer to get. 1st of all is this correct with HBOS and secondly how can I be totally sure they have given me every last statement entry available?
Thanks folks

Congrats emmastar!
I sent off my first request for charges from two accounts totalling £3567.26 on 27th February. Yesterday I received the standard reply Thanking me for my complaint ....... usually 8 weeks .... but will respond within 4 weeks. This was dated 9th March.
Have just drafted LBA and will post off tomorrow.
Although I live in Scotland I plan to use MCOL using HBOS Halifax address and my brother's address down south as contact address. Does this sound on track?HBoS = £3700 won! :beer:
Capital one = £1500 won! :beer:
Studio = £200 won! :beer:0 -
That will be fine.0

Hi. A bit new to this but have a wee query.
I live in England but my bank is in Scotland (Halifax/BOS) am I to treat this as a English cliam or a Scottish one?0 -

I would see if they come up with an offer on Friday. If they don't proceed with the next stage of your claim.
I'm not sure anyone can answer with any certainty why some claims are paid quickly and others not. I guess it has to do with the customer, the amount reclaimed and a bit of luck to do with timing thrown in.0
