Claimed via mcol on 2/3/07 it is 8 days on and it still says issued. When do I start 14 day count down to judgement from. on their advise line it says it should say served after 5 days and 14 days starts from then. Are they slow at updating thier online claims or does it take this long to be served? .
Any help gratefully accepted
The 5 days seem to be the standard time they give the Royal Mail to serve to the bank by post. Ours was served on 5 March and acknowledged on 9 March so clearly received before 10 March, but I am told that I still have to count the days from 10 March. And once they acknowledge 14 days become 28 days.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

hi all
ive had a partial result with halifax.they were good with me ive had charges which i didnt agree with price wise.so i wrote them a letter blah blah blah.but just recently i got another bank charge wen there was money in my account.so i rang them up asked what was going on .short story i complained that i had sent in for bank statments about 6 weeks ago.so he took the recent bank charge off for me and only charged me £5 for 6 years of statements.i only have 2 standing orders on my account one is my visa the other being car insurance.but he told me there was another i asked what it was and he said wasnt sure its for £4.99.he traced it for me and its for a mobile phone insurance thought that was strange as i dont have a contract mobile so he stopped the direct db straight away.and is sending me some forms out to reclaim all of it from may 2004 which would be a healthy-ish £170 back plus he also got hold of the phone number of the company too ill be on the blower after weekend they be getting aload of s**e from me as ive never had a contract phone on pre-pay.so all in not bad result with halifax.im just waiting on statements now to recliam all the charges back..............0 -

Hi - I only have a basic bank account with the Halifax which I have had for 10 years - which has an Electron card and chequebook but no chequecard or overdraft - I have had lots of charges over the past years ranging from £28 when I first opened my account to currently £39 per bounced cheque/DD - can I reclaim on such an account or is it only on "proper" current accounts. Also when I get a bank charge it usually takes me into overdraft and then I am charged an unauthorised overdraft charge. Can someone give me some advice before I start off the proceedings.
Thanks0 -
Hi all,
Great site!
I sent the letter requesting my 6 years worth of statements, 2 weeks have gone by with only recieving a leaflet form Data Protection lealet No 7, with no idea as to who it is from.
Yesterday i called the Halifax and spoke to a lady to ask if there was a record that i had sent in a letter requesting the statements with £10, she said there was no record, i asked if the request is a common one, she replied yes it is a common request these days.
She offered to cancel the cheque for FREE and only charged me £5 for the service and stated they would be with me within 7-14 days.
WOW i thought if i had done that in the 1st place i would be sorted to do the next stage, Oh well i cant wait to get the statements.
Cheers all
Dave

That's what I've done Brad, but when it comes to the completion next week I'll be doing it online - don't know if it'll make any difference or not.We will win this! we will!.... and we did! :j0 -
hi ppl
Taking HBOS for nearly 4k from the last 6yrs, but have come a cropper on the court particulars, its only letting me have 1080 characters and 24 lines. I've taken out all the spaces and got it down to 1080 characters but i'm still on 29 lines, any help on shortening the court particulars0
